| Oct. 8, 2019 jackbrun | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Vegas 65 AAA observations Let me address this as I am the manager of the team that was allowed to use last year's balls. I was not at the managers meeting nor was anyone from my team there as I do not want to subject my non-smokers to the second hand smoke that is always present at the hotel's where the meeting are held for all Las Vagas tournaments. That being said, I brought two of last year's balls as backup balls only and that is how they were used. I went to the field director and the UIC and officially inquired about using these balls. The both said the Terry had approved their use. I would have NEVER used them if they were not approved. I am deeply saddened that someone who doesn't even know me or my team is questoning our/my integrity. There was absolutely no intention of "shading the rules or cheating". That would never happen! I respect the game and the people that are still playing it way too much to do such a thing. Respectfully, Jack Brunschmid Manager No Guts No Glory |

| March 18, 2017 jackbrun | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: What is the only situation where, after the play is over that a "do over" or "mulligan" can be implemented? (at least that I'm aware of) Another would be a defensive player records an out while using an illegal glove (i.e. an outfielder using a first baseman's mit) the offensive team can appeal the play before the first pitch to the next batter, and either take the results of the play or have the hitter bat again. |
| March 14, 2017 jackbrun | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: INTERFERENCE PENALTY A play similar to this happened at the TOC last month. After considerable discussion, it was determined that since SSUSA did not specifically cover this that they used the ASA rule and the runner closest to home was declared out. |

| May 24, 2016 jackbrun | Topic: Bats Discussion: Rocket Launcher I've had my RL for about 3 weeks now and have ovTh 300 hits on it. after around 200 it started really opening up. the ball jumps through the infield and carries well when I get some backspin on it. I normally use the Dudley 12 inch but like the RL just as much if not better. If you get one, be patient as it takes awhile to get used to the extra weight in the end. And, as previously reported, go down in weight. |

| Feb. 18, 2016 jackbrun | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Intentional walk rule Gary - Great idea but the league rules makes the pitcher pitch from the rubber. Mike - It makes no difference who pitches. He has already made that known. There are three solutions; stop playing, remove him from the league or do what we currently do....walk him. We are not willing to quit because of one person, the league won't do anything, so the third solution is the most logical in our opinion. |
