Discussion: What is the only situation where, after the play is over that a "do over" or "mulligan" can be implemented? (at least that I'm aware of)

Another would be a defensive player records an out while using an illegal glove (i.e. an outfielder using a first baseman's mit) the offensive team can appeal the play before the first pitch to the next batter, and either take the results of the play or have the hitter bat again.

A play similar to this happened at the TOC last month. After considerable discussion, it was determined that since SSUSA did not specifically cover this that they used the ASA rule and the runner closest to home was declared out.

The way I understand it is if you are under 12 players you can still add.

I've had my RL for about 3 weeks now and have ovTh 300 hits on it. after around 200 it started really opening up. the ball jumps through the infield and carries well when I get some backspin on it. I normally use the Dudley 12 inch but like the RL just as much if not better. If you get one, be patient as it takes awhile to get used to the extra weight in the end. And, as previously reported, go down in weight.

Gary - Great idea but the league rules makes the pitcher pitch from the rubber.
Mike - It makes no difference who pitches. He has already made that known. There are three solutions; stop playing, remove him from the league or do what we currently do....walk him. We are not willing to quit because of one person, the league won't do anything, so the third solution is the most logical in our opinion.

Q19 - this player is not a senior player. He plays on an open division tournament team and is talented enough to hit the ball nearly where he wants to including those 350 foot shots with an ASA bat. It's just not worth taking the risk to pitch to him since the umpires and league director won't do anything about it.

Discussion: Intentional walk rule

Bruce - In a local open league, there is a player that has verbally threatened to hit the pitcher in the head. The league won't do anything about it so consequently he is walked intentionally ever time he comes to bat. He doesn't like it and has "refused the walk", so the umpire has instructed the pitcher to just throw pitches he can't hit until he walks.

According to the rules, is it permissible for a batter to refuse an intentional walk and make the pitcher throw 4 balls to him after the umpire has been notified that the defensive team is intentionally walking him? Is the rule any different for ASA than Senior softball?
