In the 50 AAA Metro Star finished first with Southern Softball second, Indiana Calssics third, and Sideline Grill fourth.
In the 50 AA Dayton Legends were first, OG'S were second, Nashville Coach third and Scrap Iron was fourth. As usual it was a well run tournament at Cullman witha great complex. My only complaint was the Gold Dot balls were like socks. You had to play small ball. In the four years I have played senior ball I have never played so shallow in the outfield for every team. In small ball good defense and timely hitting win ball games. Word is that the NSA will move this tournament to Rock Hill, SC next year. I hate to this Alabama trio tournament end.

Discussion: SPA Champaign.Ill next weekend July 9 & 10 line-up

Why are all these qualifier tournaments going to a round robin format? I guess to save money. I hate the round robin format. We have a three game round robin and that is enough. Lets play a double elimination. We won't go to Champaign again if they use this format. These kind of round robin are usless this time of year. Let Rudy and other directors know we don't want this.

The rain created a problem on Sunday turning the double elimination into a single elimination.

USSSA starts with 1-1 count and the strike zone is 3 feet from release on the low end and 10 feet from the ground on the high end.
