Discussion: Need a Tracker in Modesto/Escalon/Oakdale/Riverbank, California

Thanks to all who responded with helpful information and serious criteria. Don, a tracker came to my sister and brother in law's. They placed cameras and got photos of the dogs. There were two dogs and it turns out the owners of the dogs are just off of Droge Road. The animal control officers let them know and the owner stopped by to see my sis and said sure enough they were her dogs. She promised to keep them in their compound and if they got out again and killed more cats, they would put them down. My sister has been sleeping better these past few nights. Let me know how you do/did at TOC.
Thanks, Ed

Discussion: Need a Tracker in Modesto/Escalon/Oakdale/Riverbank, California

My sister is going through a huge grief scenario in Escalon and we need assistance. She has horses and cats. These past weeks, two dogs come to her farm in the night and kill kittens and cats. She has no peace and does not know what to do but she comes out in the morning and finds dead cats in the yards. It is very traumatic. She did get a picture of a big animal that came up to the camera last night.

If there is anyone in the Modesto/Escalon/Riverbank/Oakdale area that can help, please contact them ASAP. My sis is the utmost animal lover and this is killing her to find her animals torn to pieces in the mornings.

I will and they will be ever grateful for help and assistance.

Thanks very much,

Hangin tough big guy. Playing Florida Half Century this week-end in 65's. Playing league in Ocala, FLA. It seems a bit strange to be in warm weather this time of year when my buddies are snowmobiling all over the mesas at home.

If any teams in the west need a player at the TOC, I'm ready to help. Best wishes buddy and hope to see you this summer.

Dave, Web, Omar & Fabe, Last Thursday air temp in Daytona was 89, water temp was 73, waves were 3-4 and shoulder high. Been playing in Ocala, FLA and haven't been able to find any snow around here yet. Gonna play FHC this week-end and try out that organization.

Take care boys!

Web, I know exactly what you are sharing. Playing ball based out of SW Colorado, I have been 7-8 hours away from any competitive senior team and the expenses spent since 1999 have been significant for me and my family. Like you, my wife accompanies me and we most often bring our dog, Kona. Also like you and others, the passion still exists so I continue on.

It has been fun to spend last winter and this one in Florida where I can play quite a bit and enjoy the warmer weather. There's 9' of snow in Telluride!

Looking forward to seeing you down the road this upcoming year. Be safe and Happy New Year brother.

Discussion: Our Trip From Colorado to Winter Worlds and on to Florida

We left Phoenix last Friday driving to Ocale, FLA. Weather in AZ/NM & NW Texas was beautiful. Strong winds started in Van Horn, TX and blew all the way through San Antonio, Houston and into St. Charles, Louisiana. Weather and winds got better on into Florida.

Made it to Ocala Monday afternoon. Unpacked the truck and getting ready for Thanksgiving. Still a little lost being away from Colorado but will adjust. Going to do maintenance, some fishing and hopefully some surfing back here. Will be looking for a 60's/65's team in the area.

Wishing a great Thanksgiving to all.

Discussion: Our Trip From Colorado to Winter Worlds and on to Florida

Just a few notes regarding our winter trip from snowy Colorado to Florida via Winter Worlds in Phoenix.

We drove from Telluride last Sunday and barely escaped 30 inches of snow. Got to Phoenix and played in WW with High Desert Roadrunners 65M. Would like to congratulate Cen-Tex on their 1st place win. We just couldn't stop your offense but had fun trying. Also enjoyed seeing our pals with Scrap Iron Phiten and Arizona Ancients. We had two great games with CA Marauders and Animals. Hope you guys made it home safely and see you down the road.

After the tournament, my wife and I packed the truck and headed east toward Florida. Weather was really nice through mid Texas. Today we drove through strong winds but nice weather. Made it as far as Lake Charles, Louisiana. Tomorrow will try to get down to LA. coast to maybe see some redfish guides. Plan to get to Central Florida (Ocala) Monday. Hope to play some Florida Half Century.

Thanking the tournament Director, Tim, all the umpires, SSUSA staff for their hard work at Winter Worlds.

Discussion: Best Wishes to Terry Hennessy

All the guys from High Desert Roadrunners wish you positive energy and prayer for healing. As I shared with you earlier, you will battle like a champion and be back on the fields with your buddies before you know it. There are a few of us that can relate to your challenge. Blessings to you Terry!

Discussion: Hitting from tee vs. hitting pitched ball

I use a G-Tee and have used them all with our batting cage at Worlds in 11'. All the rest broke from misguided bats hitting the tees.My tee easily fits in my bag and is collapsible.

I practice at different heights and on a field, I try to hit ropes versus long high fly balls.

I believe the repetitious motion in the body movement strengthens the rotation muscles and tissues.

I believe I am getting equal distance from a tee and from natural pitching. When using a tee, I am doing a similar method of preparing for a pitch. I look upward to the elevation of a pitch and look downward to the ball on the tee as I begin my swing and rotation.

This has been a great thread. Thanks to all who have participated in it.

Discussion: BAT REPAIR

I am willing to try some experimental repairs in my shop. I was a fiberglass and epoxy application professional in South Carolina for 13 years. Have been doing sailboard and surfboard repairs here locally.

If you want to ship a bat to me, I will attempt to repair it. Your choice.

Discussion: Tragic Accident and Respectful Request

Friends and Seniors,

On August 7th my nephew, Kamren Baldwin, flew to Montrose, CO from Escalon, CA to visit me and to participate in a house painting project for one of my clients. Kam's plan was to make a good amount of capital and return to CA to marry his sweetheart, Dominique Montez and raise her 4 kids. His plane landed at midnight and he got to our cabin at 1AM.

Early Saturday morning, he drove my diesel truck away from the cabin to meet me. We don't exactly know what happened but he drove off the asphalt and amidst a violent accident, Kam was ejected and killed. These past three weeks have been numbing to me and our family. Kam was 40, a godly and strong young man. I did not get to

My nephew left a fiancé and 4 great kids behind. All are devastated and without income. I have opened a trust account at Alpine Bank, Telluride, CO for the benefit of Dominique Montez, (970) 728-5050. I intend to deposit profits from bat sales that I do going forward to her account. In the event anyone who reads this feels led to assist Dominique and her children, please contact me or Alpine Bank in Telluride, CO. Be it known that any gift or donation, will be gratefully appreciated.

The pain of losing my nephew on my watch will never leave my heart, but we believe God had his hand in this. He works in ways that are beyond our understanding. We believe it was time for Kam to be with him.

Thanks,
Ed Andrews

Discussion: Dudley Lightning 12" barrel

I must unfortunately disagree with you Alan. I love the Dudley bat but the shipping of bats to those of us who have legitimately sent $ in advance has been unsatisfactory at best. I have personally lost numerous customers because the bats did NOT arrive when they were promised and that ticks me off to no end.

You and others may have different experiences.

Happy New Year.

Glad to hear you made it through the procedure and are on the mend Mike. I've been in the chilly San Juan Mountains surrounding Telluride snowmobiling and plowing snow so was not able to learn of your plight before now. Best wishes and get well soon. Happy New Year!

Last but certainly not least, I'd like to thank all of you who have worked with me over the years. It is at this special time of year that I especially think of you good folks out there.

Some of you have followed my trip from Colorado to Florida via Winter Worlds in Phoenix. I'm working on our house in Ocala, FLA doing repairs, installation, etc etc (and some red fishing in the Gulf). Can anyone give me some information where I might get some BP or some playing time in here. I can be reached at (970) 729-3145 cell or email ea@andrewsdev.com.

Really appreciate it.

Discussion: Florida Bound

Arrived in Ocala, Florida Monday. Temps reached 83 degrees. Tuesday clouded up and rains began around noon. Rained all day and into the night. This morning you could see your breath outside.

Don't swing composite bats under 65 degrees y'all.

Wishing all a Happy Thanksgiving. I look forward to enjoying time in Florida until I head back to Colorado. In the event you have questions regarding Reebok and/or Dudley, please contact me.
