| May 4, 2010 CV3 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Austin Texas We played in another Senior Tournament this past week end here in Austin along with teams from Houston Tx. San Antonio Tx. here in Austin and got 4 good games, great awards, in a one day period for half the price. When is SSUSA going to award these old boys another qualifier. These guys know how to accomodate our senior programs, Thanks Romo's Old School !!! Great Job !!! |
| April 15, 2010 CV3 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Austin Texas Senior Shoot-Out !!! Finally a tournament that accomodates Senior's and gives us our money's worth for half the price and double the awards. This past weekend Texas Legends from Dallas, Rusty Hooks from Corpus Christi, Relentless 50's & 55's Austin, Carlitos from San Antonio, Mix Breed from Houston, Tanel/ Lone Star Austin, Romo's Old School, Austin Rock, Austin Senior Etc. all particpated in this one day 4-game guarantee tournment, and all left with something. Each team recieved all-tourney awards. All the way to fifth place, we really felt appreciated and enjoyed this kind of deal. Where else can we get in and out, 4-games in one day and not have to pay for two days of motel, food, gas etc. This tournament gave 1st & 2nd place awards to all ind., plus MVP offense & defense. And again at half the price, we are really in need of more tournaments like this. Again thanks Sponsor's of Austin Texas Senior Shoot-Out !! See you guys on July 17th for your second leg. We continue to desire the need to play and enjoy and there's nothing wrong with that!!! |

| Oct. 27, 2008 CV3 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: BAN THE ULTRA I started playing Senior League because the Ultra 2, it actually provides more encouragement to continue playing with sucess. I recently took a friend of my out for batting practice, he's 55 years old and had never swung a Miken Ultra 2. Well that evening he put his first home run over the fence, and I mean his first ever, and then followed with another. It was great to see someone our age enjoying the love of softball as a KID, you have to enjoy it while you can!!! and Ultra 2 does that CV |
