Discussion: Fields in Vegas

I have played 50AAA for 3yrs in Vegas and before that in Phoenix . We have never played on BLD and now that we are playing 55AAA It looks like we still are not going to. Shadow Rocks two fields are nice but the other two are horrible. We had to play semis on the two crap fields because of women's tournament. Why is the biggest classes in this tournament being subjected to the worst facilities? We had to play it Cheyene the first year there and the lights went out in the 7th inning. And the next year the lights went out at shadow rock.

We been to Vegas for are 3rd year coming up and yet to play any of the quality fields out there. It now comes out we are on the same crappy fields we have been at the last two years. We had lights go out on us at Lorenzi and shadow rock the last two years and the fields were horrible. We won both those late Saturday night games. So maybe I should could quit complaining. It just seems the largest group you have the 50 AAA should get the best since we bring in the most money. Sign just don't understand...

Discussion: Pitcher does what?

First thing load bases up unless it's a real weak part of order. Than what we do is go to 5 man infield and try to turn two. You be surprised how well this works.

Discussion: Las Vegas Fields and Umpires

Played in Vegas for two years now and have had the lights go out on us twice , once at Cheyanne and this year at Shadow rock. We were also told we would play at a different complex each year and yet we played at shadow rock two years in a row. Also 50AAA winners bracket final this year was on field 2 which was an absolute horrible field. The teams that came from Lorenzi said there fields were real nice and when they saw the 2 fields at shadow rock they were shock they were playing there.

Discussion: Ball not supplied by Senior Softball

We just played in tournament in KC. And the team we were playing fouled off a ball and threw in a ball that was not one that was bought thru the tournament which was one of the requirements for the mid -west nationals. Our pitcher realized the ball was wrong after a player for the other team knock in 2 runs with a hit. We stopped the game and tourney director was called in and he said that every thing stands the way it was because the ball was same core and compression. We played game under protest.

My ? are what good does a protest do? Do you play game over?
Also what if I would have thrown in a Dudley Thunder Advanced with the same core and compression.
What are you guys thoughts?

Discussion: Cheyenne Park for Worlds

My team is coming to Vegas this weekend and are playing at Cheyenne. From reading these post it sounds like we need to up our life insurance. We enjoyed playing in Phoenix last year and we were told Vegas was going to be bigger and better. But after reading all these I feel like that will be impossible. We are the largest field in the tournament playing on the worst fields. Can't figured that one out.

I just broke the yellow senior bat from Combat. I loved that bat. I was hoping when I get to Vegas to try some of the new bats out. Will there be reps with test bats at Vegas that I can try? We are playing at Cheyenne park. 50 AAA.

Discussion: 50's AAA who is going to vegas in oct.

I know that we are coming. We are the Chicken Coop/ Iowa Demons. And I know that Oklahoma Team Mayhem is coming. And I am pretty sure K C Monarchs are coming. All are pretty good teams.
Why are you afraid that there is only going to be California teams there? Last year there was not a California team in the top 4.

Discussion: Moving on up

Hi, jerseyboy I remember playing you guys. You got a class act of guys on your team. I am just surprised at being moved up after playing in 4 tournaments and playing the same 4-5 teams in two of them that they moved us. I am not saying we can't win any games at that level. But we haven't finished what we started. I am sure you feel the same. We are going to appeal but I heard it falls on deaf ears. Btw I was the leadoff batter for the coop, that was one hell of a game with you guys.

Discussion: Foul out to catcher

In ASA the foul ball does not have to go above the batters head. If catcher has to make in effort and catches the ball the batter is out.
