Discussion: How do you find a Major Sponsored team ???

You go to the bank and cash a check for $20,000 and start a team...lol

While you are at it, get another $20,000 and sponsor us.

Have a great day

Brett

PS.. It's not like the old days, sponsors are very hard to find now.

Dave
I know we play just play AAA, but changing the balls because we might hit a house is not right IMO.
We like hitting the good balls when we come to Vegas (Utah)
And though we don't usually hit our 3 hrs per game, we like the 3 HR rule. (seeing that the local rule is less HRs)
I would rather just NOT play on field #3 and play later into the night.
And I have a question, if we make it to Sunday and play at the Canyons, will we get 6 Rocks or have to buy them since we wont have any from before?

We will be there and play by whatever rules you come up with, but I have always like the idea that ALL teams hit the same ball all tournament.
Just my few moments of venting.

Important Notice: 2020 LVSSA/SSUSA World Masters Championships
To All Senior Softball Managers and Players:

We have received notice from Clark County, Nevada, that the fields for the first three sessions of the 2020 LVSSA/SSUSA World Masters Championships will not be available because of the new COVID-19 protocols established by the governor.

We will be moving the first two sessions of the World Masters (Men's 55 - 60 Divisions & Men's 65 - 85 Divisions) to St. George, Utah for this year. We will post hotel information in St. George as soon as possible. Please be sure to make any needed lodging changes.

Schedule Update: The two sessions will be held over three (3) days: Men's 55-60 (Sept. 18 - 20) & Men's 65 - 85 (Sept. 21 - 23).

It is essential that the Men’s teams in those first two sessions (55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80 and 85) confirm ASAP that they will still be attending the World Masters at its new location in St. George.

If your team intends to play and is NOT on the current team list (CLICK HERE), please email info@seniorsoftball.com that you intend to play and please include: team name, age group, rating.

We are looking for alternative fields for the third session, the Men's & Women's 40s Divisions, currently still scheduled for Sept. 25-27. We will update those divisions as soon as we confirm alternative fields.

We still have the fourth and final session, the Men's & Women's 50s Divisions, planned for Las Vegas, October 1-4.

Please Note: We will not be processing any entry fee payments for the third and fourth sessions (40s and 50s) until we have confirmed field availability.

We apologize for these changes, and look forward to seeing you at the 2020 LVSSA/SSUSA World Masters Championships!

I wanted to be the first one to ask what fields are we playing on in Vegas.
Most of the time you have already been asked this question.
I wanted to make sure you didn't feel left out....lol

Discussion: illegal courtesy runner

Dave
If the illegal CR is not noticed before the batter doubled, the 2 runs will count.
The CR will be called out (3rd out, inning over)if appealed BEFORE the next batter,(when 3B remembered) but the runs that scored on the previous batter will still count.
You can't go back AFTER a batter has his turn at bat. You can only do something BEFORE he bats. The only thing that can happen AFTER a batter hits, is that someone appeals THAT batter being illegal (and appeals before the first pitch of the next batter)
Am I correct or am I reading something wrong?

Discussion: Vegas World still going to require a one time tourney prior to worlds?

Ok guys
I wasn't going to say anything, but COME ON:
Quit bitching on who plays who or if someone is sandbagging or not.
We all Just want to play
Lace them up, do your best and see what happens. (that's what HR limits are for)
Just my 2 cents worth.
Brett Cooper
PS Benji, I hope you saw that Dave was joking...
I am sure that SSUSA wants Vegas to happen as much as we do. It will help make their season from becoming a total loss.

Discussion: Net for Pitchers

Hey guys
I am a pitcher
We use screens in league, I don't like them but I can understand you need them in league because a lot of people that pitch are NOT pitchers. Its great for older folks to just be out there having fun a few times a week.

In tournaments, it is a different situation. I am STRONGLY against screens. It takes away the defensive part of the game. This is a big part of the game. I have been pitching for over 30 years and have taken my lumps like most pitchers, it is part of the game. I have a glove just like the other fielders. If a person thinks its too dangerous to pitch, the DON'T pitch. It is that easy.
I wear a mask and shin guards and can pitch from way behind the rubber. (FYI, the rubber is the most dangerous thing for a pitcher, get rid of them if you want to be safe)
In league and BP, yes use a screen, in tournaments NO, NO, NO

Please don't change the game more than it has changed already.

just my 2 cents

Is there some new rule that you can have 2 players from outside your region in AA and AAA?
Some of my players received emails about this.
Can you let me know if this is true?
Thanks
