Amen, Frank. I don't know anyone involved in senior ball in our area that didn't consider her a friend.

I only talked to Layla once or twice at Georgetown and Plano, but:

What seemed like eternity
Went by so quickly
The laughter, the tears.

She played the final out
On this field of her dreams
It was like yesterday
Or so it seema.

the game she loved
And played with a passion
Still beckons and gnaws.

I think I know who she is now.........just don't know for sure though. I seem to recall talking to a lady from down around Goldthwaite way. Sorry to hear of Ms. Bryan passing.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Layla the past softball years....she was always so bubbly and excited about the tournaments that were taking place..she was a great person to be around and chat with and went out of her way to help people...Layla will be dearly missed in the softball world..My prayers go out to the family at this time...
