Balanced vs Endload
I was watching a video on Kellys website. The demonstrator was hitting balanced and endloaded. He said you swing a balanced with an upswing and an endload level. That struck me as odd. Any Thoughts?

I agree with your thinking that it is odd. But, it really depends upon what type of hitter you are. As a puncher, I have always used a balance bat. They work well for very accurate hole punching. Once in a blue moon, I'll get in a league where there is no pressure. In that environment, I'll sometimes use an endloaded bat for hitting homers - that takes an upswing.

Summary: The balanced bat allows more control in punching one-hoppers between the infielders, a level to slightly downward swing - Tremendous accuracy but less power. The endloaded bats, at least for me, seem to take a little more of a "whippy" and upward swing which generates more power and works well for long balls. The extra weight at the end gives the bat more pop as you connect with the ball, flexing the material a little more.

Personally, I prefer the control of a balanced bat as they feel lighter. Just get on...Pass it to the next guy.

I haven't seen the video but I don't think it was odd.
He was probably hitting "cutters" with the end load which gave him a lot of carry on the ball. Guys that hit cutters swing level or even down on the ball if they are not trying to hit a home run. He could have done the same with the balanced and got close to the distance he had with the end load.
I personally use a balanced because I was hooking balls foul when I pulled the ball down the line. Not sure if this was a flaw in my swing or the bat but with the balanced I seldom hook.

I think my swing does not change whether balanced or end-loaded.
