A Crazy Rumination!!
I have heard that several new bats are coming out soon with more "sticky" on them. So, I was wondering: What if I barely swing and when contact is made, the ball actually sticks to the barrel of the bat! Do I throw the bat into fair territory and run to first? Will I be safe?!!!

Retired with a lot of time on my hands!

To pass mustard, the bat would not have enough tacky stuff in order for a round ball to have enough surface space to attach to a round bat.

Mustard? Pass the ketchup please! Wow, this really conjures up visions of bats stuck to hands, legs, butts, balls and gloves. It would make several bats easier to carry-just stick them to various parts of your body! Sorry, guys, still haven't stopped laughing!

Can I get a ruling from staff on this, runner on first one out,one hopper hit back to the pitcher turns to throw to second for easy dp ball sticks to hand due to tacky bat and pitcher throws the ball into the ground and no dp,are runners safe or ump says its a dp,the other problem could be pitcher having trouble throwing strikes due to tacky ball,he then puts Vaseline on his neck to slick up the ball and gets caught by the umpire, whats the ruling on this does manager and player get a 5 year suspension for altering the ball.

RIK56 ... Looks like a double forfeit, with an immediate hearing at the nearest establishment serving adult beverages ... Can't be any other more sensible and fair decision in my view ...
