if the coach physically stopped the runner from advancing then interference should have been called.. there is no penalty for a batter advancing to 1st base with the bat as long as he does not interfere in the play

bringiton ... Your question is somewhat vague, but assuming you are asking for a ruling(s) on those particular fact patterns, in SSUSA sanctioned play ...

• The coach physically holding up the base runner rounding third is declared out at the conclusion of the play ... Holding the runner will (and should) be considered "assisting" him by preventing him from advancing into what the coach believed would ultimately be a put-out .. The base runner must stop and retreat to third base on his own without physical intervention by the coach ... The delayed dead ball umpire mechanic is mentioned in the rule below, but this remains a live ball for the remainder of the play ...

§9.2 • THE BALL IS IN PLAY

V. When, in the umpire’s judgment, a coach touches and physically assists a runner. EFFECT: A delayed dead ball signal will be given and play shall continue. The touched and assisted runner shall be ruled out and all other subsequent play will be ruled upon accordingly.
__________

• There is NO rule in the SSUSA Rule Book prohibiting a batter-runner from carrying his bat with him to first base, or beyond ... A batter may carry his bat to first base (why he would want to slow himself down is the real mystery) and would probably not be declared out for carrying it, unless the umpire felt the bat had somehow interfered with a fielder ... Some other softball associations may have a differing rule, but this is not a rule violation in SSUSA play ...

Thank you very much i tried telling the umpire but when they make a call they don't want to change it or call for the director for help to get it right

If something like this happens again to your team in an SSUSA sanctioned event, respectfully decline to continue play until a Director or U.I.C. gets to your field for a consult with the umpire ... Most appeal rights terminate with the next pitch ... We don't charge for protests, so it's only a minimal investment in time (which should be stopped) to get it right ...
