are there any teams getting moved up from winning the southwest championship

Probably not until after the upcoming larger May events in the East (Atlantic Coast Championships) and the West (Rock 'n Reno Challenge Cup) ... Based on the question, it looks as though you may have done quite well at the Southwest ... Would you like us to look at your team a bit early and take some of the suspense and worry out of it now? ...

Pa ... We reserve the right to move a team (up OR down) at any time when circumstances, but there are NO automatic win-and-you-move-up events other than the ones we mentioned above ... No matter when we move a team up, there is always going to be an immediately preceding event, but that event is NOT an "automatic" cause of the move ...

"Correlation does not imply causation" (A correlation between two variables does not imply that one causes the other) ... Don't be like the rooster who crows loudly just before dawn every day and then comes to the conclusion that he is the reason the Sun rises shortly thereafter! ...

I really find these answers frustrating. A guy asks a simple question and SSUSA has to come back with smart ass answers, threats to bump his team and then the idiotic rooster comparison. This happens all the time when customers ask SSUSA questions. This is the point of a message board, to get questions answered, to reach out to other players to get input, and God forbid, to get scores from other events. I am sure the usual SSUSA apologists will come on here and blow me up, that's fine. And you know who I am talking about, the ones that ask "why do you need to know scores from Worlds?". Just seems like simple questions/concerns deserve simple answers. I am not an anonymous poster. Jim Perry

On the contrary, I thought it was a great answer. What's wrong with a little humor? Lighten up Francis.

I found it to be a smart ass response to that's why I put in there little league. Funny thing is the 40s filled there board as the games went and nothing was filled in on the 50s and above

Pa ... Calling the office isn't going to result in a ratings discussion unless you are the manager, and even then, you'll be advised to put it in writing via email ... We don't do ratings over the phone ... Also, please re-read the "non-funny" parts of our response ... It's a very simple concept that winning a single event (other than any of the three National/World events we mentioned) does NOT trigger an automatic rating bump any more than going 0-5 triggers an automatic rating downgrade ... It's a "body of work" analysis over time ... This is the most common (by far) concept people fail to grasp ... Don't fear winning, even at the World Masters! ... Do the best you can, enjoy the game, play safely and let your accomplishments speak for you ... It's a lot more enjoyable that way! ...

Pa - just so you know, Dave was the TD for the 40's and has the proprietary scheduling software on his computer which is why it got updated as close to "real time" as possible. Once he gets the scores from the TD's at the other fields, he fills them in when he has the time, been that way for a while. And before anyone else jumps up and down, this is being looked at and they are trying to find a solution, not simple with the 3GG brackets and multiple fields for the larger events (all been explained before, Tim alluded to it a few threads down).

Dave, I will walk away from that last comment from Pa

mck71 it was nice being hurt not being able to be there or play and see the tournament unfold because the scores were up to date in the 40s thank you Dave
