Aug. 3, 2008 stattad Men's 65 235 posts | I remember going to the local record store and seeing BOTH covers. Guess which one I bought? You got it, the common one! |
Aug. 4, 2008 Joncon 328 posts | Crap..didn't see the new thread. Let the longer thread go away I guess. ********************************************************** Here is one from the archives stored for some reason in the depths of my brain. What was Lee Michaels' drummer's name? ****Lee Michaels was a one hit wonder 2 piece band in the late 60's**** ***The drummer's name is also asscciated with a modern fast food chain. I thought this would be REALLY trivial but google got it in the fisrt try. The inyternet/ Google is amazing. Personal R and R trivia. My first concert was Cream in 67 I saw Jethro Tull for 4 bucks at Phoenix College gymnasium. 68/69 I snuck in the Vetrans Memorial Colliseum to see Zepplin in 68/69 I climbed the fence @ Diable Stadium to see Janis Joplin in 68/69 I saw Deep Purple fo 50 cents @ the AZState fair. 68/69 68 thru 69 is a little fuzzy |
Aug. 4, 2008 Dbax Men's 65 2101 posts | I know his hit was "Do ya know what I mean" My first concert was Canned Heat and Alice Cooper at Manzanita Speedway in Phoenix, Az. Also saw the J. Geils Band at Veterans Memorial Coliseum. A group by the name of U2 opened for them and were booed off the stage. |
Aug. 5, 2008 Sideshow Men's 50 9 posts | Drummer from Lee Michaels was call "Frosty barthalamew....... |
Aug. 5, 2008 Joncon 328 posts | Frosty is correct but I have to suspect some Googling as you even knew his last name. Wait....is that you Frosty? |
Aug. 6, 2008 Dbax Men's 65 2101 posts | Joncon, I guess Sideshow is not going to post a question. Go ahead with another. |
Aug. 6, 2008 Sideshow Men's 50 9 posts | No google for that answer; easy one.(From Socal, and Lee Michaels I believe is from Long Beach??) New to the board.....guess I am supposed to post a trivia question? Vanilla Cherry was a punk band; Who was the ORIGINAL bass player for this band? |
Aug. 6, 2008 Sideshow Men's 50 9 posts | R&R personal : Really do not remember my first concert, but probably Jimi Hendrix opening up for Chicago at the San Diego Sports arena. Went to California Jam; went to all four Peter Frampton shows at Winterland--recording Frampton Comes Alive Have met and been kicked out from backstage about three times by Bill Grahm himself.....Winterland/Oakland Coliseum Another trivia question: Eric Clapton lost a son, due to a fall from a high rise. What was the son's name? |
Aug. 6, 2008 Dbax Men's 65 2101 posts | Sideshow, give us a chance at the first question. His son's name was Conor. You get to post a question if you answer right. |
Aug. 6, 2008 Sideshow Men's 50 9 posts | My bad, Dbax..........I should have viewed the first part of this post to check the rules of the game.......I didn't |
Aug. 6, 2008 Dbax Men's 65 2101 posts | No problem. Always welcoming new players. As for your question, I did not know the answer, so I Googled it. I can find nothing at all on any band named Vanilla Cherry. I could only find Cherry Vanilla. How about some clues? |
Aug. 6, 2008 Lecak Men's 60 1026 posts | Dave you need to call the police on this guy he is breaking all the rules. Also I really didn't appreciate your stinging comments about my post on the female drummer for Kid Rock. |
Aug. 6, 2008 Dbax Men's 65 2101 posts | Joe, he is new, so I am cutting him some slack. You on the other hand...................... Have you ever heard of Vanilla Cherry?? |
Aug. 6, 2008 Dbax Men's 65 2101 posts | I'm a moron. From Joe's clues, it must be Sting form the Police. |
Aug. 6, 2008 Lecak Men's 60 1026 posts | Sting There has been only one album ever to feature the guitar work of both Clapton and Hendrix the name of the record please. Do yourself a favor and launch this badboy on your IPOD phenomenal piece of music. |
Aug. 6, 2008 Dbax Men's 65 2101 posts | Why are you asking a question? I got the right answer before you! |
Aug. 6, 2008 Lecak Men's 60 1026 posts | Technically know you didn't. Also legend has it this was Hendrix's last session before his death. |
Aug. 6, 2008 Dbax Men's 65 2101 posts | Ok, but I must protest Sideshows question. The name of the singer was Cherry Vanilla. And members of the Police were part of her band. Don't know your question though. When I get the answer, I will certainly put it on my Ipod. |
Aug. 7, 2008 Sideshow Men's 50 9 posts | Ok, had a Senior MOMENT..........Cherry Vanilla instead of Vanilla Cherry........(I will go stand in the corner) Get back to you on the clapton/Hendrix thing shortly........I have the Clapton Autobio in the car!! |
