50 major division Phoenix great tourney
Every senior should get a chance to participate in a turnout like we just had. 26 teams all excellent squads. It was amazing to participate in. All syles of teams from defensive squads, basehitting teams, to teams built for offense. I don't know the finish but the top 3 left were Northwest Legends, Coors Light and Colorado Mudhens.
Congratulations to all the participants and to SSUSA on a great event in our Age division. Good luck to all in the new year and most importantly guard your health.

Hey Joe, How's your shortstop doing? He took a pretty good shot in the chest on Sat. night when we played you guy's. I know that he's a tuff guy, but I'm hoping everything was alright. That was a very good intense game that we played against you guy's. See you in Vegas next month.

Hi Eric, Mike is fine, he took a number shots all weekend, very tough guy. That was a great game to play in, we the MOB are not reforming next year, so I'm not sure where everyone on the team will land. Good luck in Vegas, I live there so I'll at least be watching. That was a great tournament to be part of.

What a great tournament over the weekend. All 26 teams in the 50 Majors were very good teams. We (AZMOB) lost our first game and came all the way back to finish fourth in what i felt was the most competetive tournament i have ever played in. Since our team is not going to be together again i just want to tell any of my teammates that read this site that i had a great time this year and i wish you all the best of luck next here with the teams you end up playing with.

I would have to agree with everyone on the balance of teams in the 50 Major. Fangrabbers lost to NW legends 34-33, giving up 13 runs in the bottom ot the 7th inning to finish fifth. Our loss to Doubleplay by one run in the bottom of the 7th in our second game was as well played as any game I have been involved in. The thing that stood out the most in the loss to Doubleplay was the respect both teams had for each other as the score went back and forth the whole game. I can't ever remember having more fun in losing a game than I did against a very classy team. The loss to NW legends was well played but not as fun, as the loss eliminated us. They, too, are a class act and were fun to compete with.

What a great tournament! The teams were so evenly matched that probably 20 of the 26 teams could have won the event. Great competiion. The major division is such a better game than major plus. Since the Mikens are so hot, the limitations on HR's and runs per inning make it so the games are completed on time for the most part. Not many blowouts and everyone has a chance to win at the end! Thanks to Dave and Fran for running such a fun tournament. Thanks to Senior Softball for holding it Phoenix in October, perfect! Sad to hear the AZ MOB will not be playing next year.

Lecak,
The top three were: Coors Light who beat NW Legends/Goodman Racing 16-15. Coors Light did not lose a game all weekend. The Colorado Mud Hens finished 3rd.

It was good to see you guys play. I spoke with Joe Rinaldi (Einstein) and told him that with yourself, Steve Imlay and him hitting together in the order, you should be called the Web Kids!

Great play, better competitors. Very enjoyable for an old coot (60s) to drop down again and play with the "youngsters".

Bob, I played with the Cummins Texas Legends 50 Major bunch. Had a great time and met some very nice guys, good players and some great hitters. They've got more power than our 60 Major Plus team, that's for sure. LL
