to the player and teams that spend their own money to play in your tournaments. It is time that more concern should be given to our needs. We just came back from a small but well run tourn. in Novi, Mich. directed by Mike Dembicki. He gave all teams what they wanted. All classifications played together and it went off extremely well and we made several friends. In a few qualifiers that my team has played in so far this year here is what I observed:
* The UII bat did NOT create any injuries.
* The upcoming senior player is bigger and stronger
* The "no time limit" in round robin did NOT add any delays to the tourn.
* The 11 th. def. player + five run spot made the game competitive and interesting when a lower played higherr Class.
* good Optic yellow balls were used
Now, here is what I think that all senior organizations need to do:
*Step away from your parent organization(ex. ASA) and have the balls to allow us to use ALL bats with the exception of the U I.
* Impliment HR's for all divisions, with the one up rule and all others being singles.
8 Use the optic yellow, good core ball.(And that goes for the ISSA,ISF)
*Impliment the 11th. defense. player and run differential when playing two classes up(Qualifiers).
* Make All tourn. 3 game round robin with double elim.(Listen Winter Worlds SSUSA and RB, ISSA).
* A unified ID card.
I would like to entertain any other ideas. Again, it is OUR money and OUR time so shouldn't these organizations cater to our requests ??!! LA

I agree with the 5 game guarantee, I run our event (Dayton Legends) as a 5 game guarantee, I will play the 11 man defense and apply 5 runs to the lower teams if I don't have enough uppers. I thought that the Michigan event went well. "Yellow Balls" will be used in our event, however, since the City of Dayton facility does not allow the U-2, I cannot use that bat in this event, however everything else can be such as the Snergy, Capalast, etc. Remember for those teams that are interested this is scheduled for the 2/3 July, 5 games guarantee, no time limit and I will work with all the teams managers to ensure that this event is run safely and will try and make everybody happy (can't totally guaranteed it, but will try). Thanks Legends 11

Manassas tourney Director: I think you ought to take a look at this format given, it worked very well in Michigan, even though we played up all weekend. NO ISSUES WHATSOEVER. The optic ball was a tremendous help for ALL OF US! The game conditions ought to be for the players advantage. We need some changes and it is NOT TOO LATE to make this happen for June 16-19

Westland...NICE WEEKEND, great job on the fields after the rain. Everyone I talked to on fields had good things to say about you guys!!!!

THANKS!!!

Most of the tourneys I play in have a 5 game guar. Some teams may get 6 in. All bats are allowed, but for the U-1, altered, and the old ti's. Now, any bat desplaying the ASA stamps are supposed to be allowed as well. A one hour clock, however is used starting w\ the 1st pitch. Teams that travel far want to be able to leave asap on Sundays for the most part. I believe the 11 man defence is allowed for 70+ yr olds, no others. Most use 44 or 47 cor 375 or 525 balls. I use 47\525yellows. ID cards are a good idea imo, however I know of some guys w\ fake ones being used.currently. So whom ever controls that is anyone guess. After all someone w\ good computer knowledge and a printer laminator could make one.
I'm trying to form a centralized assn in Ca with hopes of bringing north and south together to play teams they may not ever meet up against. Fresno, Visalia, Tulare, and perhaps Bakersfield for playing locations.

Optic Yellow Ball: I thought it was horrible when I saw it; but it is the better seeing ball; especially at night time or when the balls get dirty. I will have to stop playing in my city league next year, because they will not adjust the lights & I am wasting my time; I constantly lose the pitch about 4' from the plate. You have my vote.

I will vote for the yellow ball you can pick up better at night and day play. RB you need to improve your tourney before all the teams just quit going because of the ball and ASA rules
