mad dog, Yes I believe the hitman was pitching, I guess he just wasn't throwing those cookies that he throws to you. Good job Dale and to everyone on the GA/Ala Masters.

Mad Dog,

Ron only hit one out but hit a lot scuds.
I took a whole batch of cookies but since you weren't there I only gave one out. LOL
Great run tourney and we played well the whole tourney going 6-0, scoring in every inning of every game.
Championship game was thriller against Jersey Masters and just glad we had the hammer but didn't have to use it.
The best SPORTSMANSHIP and CLASS teams that I've every played against.
Also the best UMPS that I've seen overall.
Congrats to all teams that played and all the UMPS that did a great job.

As a member of the Jersey Masters we were proud to meet the Ga/Ala team in the championship of the 60's AAA. Ga/Ala is a terrific team, and more importantly represents everything that is good about senior softball. Congratulations.

Mad Dog,

If I remember correctly they went to final four and lost and then won the first game Sunday before they lost to Jersey Masters. Jersey Master beat Stahl Post so I think that made them 4th.
Since we didn't play the Spurs you wouldn't have gotten cookies anyway DOH LOL!!!!!!!!!!

I'm just kind of curious as to why SSUSA can't update their website with the results of the Ft Myer's Tournament (or any other event for that matter)in a timely fashion.

I, as most of you, have numerous friends across the board playing on a variety of teams in all different levels of the Winter Nationals. I see the recurring theme, every month, as being: "Does anyone have the results of ..."

It is understandable that their information is only as good as the person(s) responsible for submitting. But sheesh, update the brackets with scores on the website!!!

Well Dave, that seems a bit much on your plate (note the Thanksgiving Dinner reference!) Is it not reasonable to have a designee, other than yourself?

I laud your efforts and that of ALL SSUSA personnel in doing their best to bring a memorable softball experience to us all.

65 aa won by Silver Sticks Indiana. I was a part of this team. Things looked awfully gloomy going into the 2nd day. We had lost both seeding games & the 2nd game in the D.E. Two starters, that had not yet played at all because of some injuries, felt good enough to start playing. We won the next 5 in a row & got to the "loser bracket final". This game was won by us with a 4-0 "SHUTOUT". Now the plot thickens. We force an if game by winning over an excellent "RIP" team from Boston 12-8.....NOW . "RIP" states that the will have to forfeit the "if" game. 4 players from RIP have flight reservations to go home. Sorry for the "RIP" team to lose in that manor. Some people say that they should have given more thought when making their flight plans......Also the weather played a huge factor , as much ironically as I have never seen before. The wind blew strongly in from right. I call it a "1st to 3rd" cross wind. Then the late day sun rose in dead centerfield. It was right in the batters eyes. There were at least 4 strike outs on RIP's team in the final 2 innings........Also , in the 60aa. A good Kentuckyanna team won that one.

So whats the problem Dave? Seems you would have an extra 30 or 40 SECONDS left to do some posting! =)

Hope to see you in Vegas, 1st tourney back since hitting the Grand Slam against the big C. I am as excited as an 8 year old before the start of Little League!

I would like to second what hitman said about the ISA umps. They reminded me of another group of ISA umps in Gallatin, tn. in 2009. They were a young group but had an excellent rapport with us older players and did an outstanding job.

Congrats to GA/ALA Masters. You seem to have got your stroke back after Sat in Phoenix. That 27 you put on me on Fri still stings.
