Discussion: New Dudley

Looks like this will be a Dudley issue!!!
I don't know about the 14" orange, but the 12" Hot W Blue/Gray has got to be defective! :( :( :(
On the 13th swing in BP it CRACKED....Funny thing is I was only going to take 15 swings then put it up after reading all the bad reviews... balls 44 375 evil BP balls... This isn't a good start for much awaited 2019 Dudley Senior Bats!!!

Discussion: Shoulder surgery

I had major Shoulder surgery in Oct.2017 reattached Bicep, repaired labram, repaired Rotator, cleaned out bone spurs. Did PT until April of 2018 before I started throwing and it was very painful, did a lot of swimming for PT that helped a lot. Fast forward 15 months later and while I have no pain and can hit the cutoff man, my days of throwing guys out going from 1st to 3rd from right field, are long gone... LOL Good luck!

Discussion: Over running the base

This happen in league play, you’re allowed to overrun all bases and each base is a force out.
Runner on 1st, base hit, runner on 1st goes from 1st to 3rd, the batter tries for a double, there is an over throw, ball is now in left field …….
Runner at 3rd base sees the overthrow and doesn’t go back to retouch 3rd base he had overran.
(or was he trying to score from 1st?)
Umpire called him OUT for no retouch, even those ball was still in play!
Does the runner have to retouch since there was no play at his base which was 3rd and the throw went into the outfield?
The Umpire disagreed, stated all runners must retouch when over running the base, even if the ball is still in play.
Is he correct?

Discussion: 2018 LVSSA/SSUSA WORLD MASTERS CHAMPIONSHIPS schedule vent

I'm in agreement also and yes there are a lot of guys in this situation...Especially since SSUSA won't allow teams to play down just for the Worlds anymore...
(I know Dave) lol.....

I play 60's and had to turn down playing on a 55 team because the worlds are the same weekend...would love to kook-up with a 50's team for the worlds!

Maybe in 2019 they'll have different weekends for 40's, 50, 55, & 60's.

Discussion: Reno 60

Dave I appreciate you and your reply.....I know there's are other factors involved in scheduling the tournaments, but with only 4 teams in one division, We play the 8 & 9:30 games on Friday, can't we come back later that evening and start bracket play?

I know i'm just blowing wind and i know it's been suggested before,. Just makes no sense to me to have 50 guys stay in Reno for 3 whole days :(

At least have the championship game played by 11am on Sunday???

Discussion: Power fading

Mike,
The shoes are good defense, they’ve never effected my hitting LOL….
Well, with the exception of visiting my favorite hitter Steve Imlay.
(I’ll talk with him in Reno)
I’ve been doing just about everything everyone has suggested…..........Thanks a bunch guys for the thoughts!!
I Hit 5 times a week, hit the weights ( I thought that was the issue) off the Tee , at the cages, during league and Been doing a lot of Videos, the problem is, I don’t have any videos before the injury ☹ I had surgery last Oct and Rehabbing from Shoulder rotator cuff surgery is painful...But having guys go from 1st to 3rd feels even worst! LOL

Does your batting power diminished with age? (i know LOL) or does your batting approach change because of injuries as we age?
I've a more injuries the last 2 seasons, then I care to remember and for some unknown reason I can't seem to hit the long ball anymore. :) I still work on my hitting, but just can't hit the ball out the park anymore......Anyone have any suggestions on getting my long ball stoke back?

Staff,
Why is distracting or trying to distract a batter considered unsportsmanlike, if you're playing defense?

I would think that would be good defense, just like a shift, or saying he likes the rights side or he goes middle! is there a different?

Discussion: partial tear of the supraspinatus tendon

I Just had a surgery in Oct after winning the Worlds. I was diagnosed with a torn labium but when Doctor got inside, she said my Rotator was holding on bye a thread, so she repaired that as well as my Labium. Doctors say it was a very extensive repair. Like Player, I had the rotator cuff cleaned out then reattached it with two screws.I also had the nerve block and Player is correct, when it wears off MAN MAN MAN what pain!!! thank goodness for Weed! LOL The rehab is going slowly, I'm 13 weeks out and still can't throw , swing is not an issue, but throwing will take some time to do again, I'm looking at 20 weeks before picking up a ball. I would stay away from the SHOTS as much as possible, they really make things worst and the injury wont heal on its on, unless you stop playing for about a year.
I went 2 years of playing before deciding on the surgery thinking it would heal on its own......NO IT WILL NOT, not at our age!
