Fabe I agree with you, roll out a sock and I'll still play and give my all.Adjust your game to the ball being used.

Perl what makes you think I'm not a power hitter?Just because I said you have to play defense to win if the ball doesn't go out of be park?I guess being a infielder I like defense to be a big part of the game. And by the way I hit a homerun last Sunday in the finals of the ISSA tournament in Myrtle Beach. When was your last great catch Perl that won a game?

My goodness the ball wouldn't go over the fence and you had to play defense to win, what a shame!Softball should be all about homerun and nothing else.

77 I used to play for a really good team back in the day in Pa.Bobtown Pizza. So when this new fangled thing Social Media came out I took the username Pizzaboy.Agree with you 3-4 are nice 1-2 shouldn't be played on especially at our age.Have a good one!

77 you lost me when you said all fields at Shadowrock are good!!!If you think field 1-2 are good softball fields I question your knowledge about what a good softball field is.I've been playing Senior Softball since 2001 and those are the worst outfields I've ever played on.I played in Morgantown,Wva and those outfields are terrible but fields 1-2 are worse!

Rick great to know your alive and kicking!I always say the best catch I ever saw in Senior Softball was by you.Was that before or after you hit kicked out of the game in the first inning after you got a hit?We did well because we were short two outfielders that's why my old butt was in right center! We came in 5th out of 39 teams.W ere you playing out there?Always a pleasure and don't be a stranger.

Discussion: Fields at Shadow Rock

I played RC for Pill&Pill this weekend at Shadow Rock. The dirt infields on the turf fields were OK with few bad hops and of course the outfields were excellent. The big minus on field #4 was in late evening the RF,Rc,2b ,P and 1b couldn't see the ball off the bat.Don't even get me started about the outfields on fields 1-2!They are pathetic with a capital P.My goodness they are terrible. If I were SSUSA I'd be ashamed to use those two fields. They have a few vine weeds trying to cover the dirt and rocks in the outfields.Plus the infields were yielding quite a few bad hops!If I were Rick Pill and paid that much money I'd still be beating someone's ear!!!!!I can't believe they used those fields in a tournament of this magnitude! But hey what do I know I'm from WVa!!!!!!

Discussion: Heat stroke

I have to agree with Bushbuck and Cat the schedule could of been better.I play for Pill&Pill 60AAA and we played 5 games in that heat on Saturday!Come on that's ridiculous for the young guys to do let alone the 60s.We started the last game at 5:30,I'd of rather played at 8am on Sunday!Poor, poor planning by RB on this one!And yes our pitcher was one of the five taken to the hospital from Potomack!I love to play but 5 games in one day when it's 100 degrees isn't a joking matter guys!

Discussion: SSUSA Staff: Shaved Bats

If you guys think shaved bats aren't being used in every senior tournament in this country,I've got some ocean front prorerty for you here in Pa!It doesn't take a rocket scientist to shave a bat, just the right lathe and a friendly machinist!Shaving bats adds 25-30" if done right to the average hitters swing.Believe me they are everywhere and because seniors still have big egos and big wallets!

Discussion: ISSA ran the worst national tournament ever!

Wagon so your for playing a time limit to keep the games on schedule?Every time that a time limit has been put on games in tournaments that we were in PEOPLE complained about paying all that entry fee and not getting 7 innings. What's the solution?I don't have the answer because there's always someone thats not happy.Personally I just go with the flow and play because I can't control other peoples tournaments. But thats why there are all the different associations, play where your happy.I just go where my sponsor{coach}tells me we're playing and do the best I can{which isn't very good most times}.

Sizzleen I don't know which fields you played on but I play infield and didn't get a bad hop the whole tournament.I agree about the shade there isn't any and my better half complains every time we go to Manassas. As for the games getting behind its because "EVERYONE" wanted good balls and good bats to be used. When they're used you get long games,so I don't blame the TD for this,we caused it!I loved the competition in the 55AAA and thought all 8 teams were equal. It was fun playing the games and the umpiring was well umpiring. You get some calls and you don't get some calls, live with it!
