trumpball. i did forget to mention that those 60 swings were over three saturdays. on the second swing two weeks ago the bat cracked. our other hitters were using u2's freaks and freak plus ect and these bats have hundreds of swings in them. I have been playing this game since 1962 and know about bats. I used to test bats for worth always the lightest they would make and they would listen to my input. I have only broken one u2 with less swings and they were nice enough to replace it for me. I was not looking for anything until the person pressguy33 and i dont know who he is put this thred on the board and i replied to it. i agree tires wear out but not after 60 miles. I also use a synergy+(this bat is 3-4 years old), green mayhem,585 maniac(two years old) and still hits well. I understand a few other guys from vegas have broken their combats also.

Trumpball thanks for your reply. because the balls say 375 i shouldnt assume they are 375 and the 525 i guess i shouldnt assusme they are 525's. exactly what should we hit. no senior bat is designed to withstand the abuse of 60SWINGS. Sorry you wil no longer be getting my business

hello trumpball. Iam Hank from Las vegas. I play 60 maj+ We hit every sat. morning. I just purchased the bat from Pro, He had a few swings on it and let me take a few. I liked the feel as i did the original dabomb. That was three weeks ago. Two weeks ago we hit on sat. it was approx, 50-55 degrees and no wind. During the first round of hitting i wanted to get it broken in. Unfortunately it cracked. I dont have any spider cracks. We used a variety of balls mostly 44 375's. There were some sharks, badens, dudleys and some worths. I decided to buy another and just received it in the mail yesterday. Anything you can do will be appreciated and thanks to pressguy33 for bringing this up.
Thank You

good morning crusher. the 44 375 that ssusa and lvssa uses is awsome. i believe ridge intends to use one of those. the lvssa ball(shark) imho is better than most if not all 47 525(excluding the 525 shark) balls available. Our team kidz4ever 60 major plus tested many balls for our lvssa tourney and the shark was the best by far. If ridge uses one of these you will not be dissapointed.

from a td to myself personally. if you are 60 and live in the north west you can play with a team there and if you claim snowbird status you can play 55 with team in the southwest. this td said that was his interpertation. our team got quite a kick out of that one. also we played in spa and there was a 55 team that beat us up and we were told had beaten a few 50 major plus teams this season and should have been rated major plus. now we go to kansas this weekend and this team is playing AAA. who is kidding who. they are rated major now they get to play AAA. the list goes on and on. you have guys like walk who cant play anywhere. last i checked this is still america. everyone should be able to participate. walk we talk about your situation all the time. hope this gets fixed in a hurry.

hey mike. this is hank is vegas. two things this past weekend. played a team on friday lost by one. played same team on sun. and they had added at least three players. we lost 41-26. another team protested that particular team and ridge turned down the protest. said they didnt have t o play on friday. we were under the impression if you dont play in the round robin games then you cant play in the double. next situation played a team from fla and ala. ala coach told us they had a hurricane exemption to put this team together. who is kidding who. also the snowbird rule is a true joke. our team knows of three players at least that are not snow birds yet they claim that exemption. our team goes by the book and we lose one year playing in our own age group as we are forced to play down in another age group. when you see all thats going on around us it is truly frustrating. im going to stop here see ya soon mike

hello larry. just got back from a phoenix tourney with our 55(yes 55 team) . This is a very sore subject. Anyhow i was lucky enough to play with big jim for a few seasons and he was the best in my opinion at that time both offensively and defensively. he was also a true gentleman. i hear your team is outstanding. are you coming to vegas in the spring. hope all is well with the family and say hello lto pam and i hope to see you along the way.
take care

big george. you are right about jim galloway. i played with him with the old county sports team from long island. he was the best i had ever seen and he did it all with wooden bats.

Discussion: SO CAL HAS LOST A TRUE LEGEND

i heard yesterday from my good buddy dave barnes. i was driving home from work and had to pull over to the side as i could not handle this. as pro has said we had the pleasure and honor to play with donnie last year. what a great guy and family man he was. always talked about his baseball and his family and all the so. cal softball legends. he is and always will be a legend in my mind. i consider myself lucky to have been his teamate for a season. he will be missed but never forgotten. take care my friend

LARRY my x buddy you were going strong with tall, good looking and distinguished but you faltered badly after that(haha)
Our team now has 8 players this year. we picked up 2 california guys andthe landscaper at the ballpark just to play this past weekend. we may not have enough to field a team. we have 2 55's out of the 8 so we will have to plau 55. all because the directors in charge of senior softball closed cal to us for the good of senior softball. if we cant find a few guys and we have been making call and getting maybe's we may not have a team and some guys actually wont be able to play this year. UNBELIEVABLE how they hurt adjoining states of fla and cal and wont do anything about it. they say they will discuss changing it for 2006. i could go on for hours but i wont. good luck to the ission guys and say hello for me
thanks
keep hitting them longand say hello to pam

dmac hey i knew your brother joe. what is he up to. as for your team top gun i have played against them over the past 10 years from time to time. We were supposed to play this coming weekend in the 60's but because of the unbelievable decision of a few tourney directors we will play 55's this year if we can find a few more bodies. anyhow it wil be great to meet you. keep me posted on your tourneys. email me at hjc565@aol.com. and we can talk. as far as st, thomas i was cut in 8th grade and never made the cyo team. all my brothers did play but you are right that was some gym. my sisters daughter goes there now. 54 years after i started there. wow
