Heard that rumor too. And it's just that, a rumor. I know who started it and why, but there were a lot of balls flying out by a lot of teams. X-Rocks and 25-30 mhp wind. How many did we hit in the undefeated game into the wind? 2.

X- man, that was a very fun tourney. You guys just squeaked by, congrats. A win is a win. It did hurt though, coming in third by a total of 3 runs. See you guys soon.

I agree the 70' base paths brought back a little defense to the game. Didn't think 5' would make a difference, but it does.
I'm torn on whether I like the X-rocks or not. I like hitting them into the wind (which there was plenty of) but I don't like what they did to my bats. I think they're too hard for senior bats. Blew up one, and put some heavy stress cracks in my newer back-up. And it was 80+ out there. Don't have that problem with the Stotes.
Anybody agree?

Discussion: Should you be able to go for hits between the second baseman and shortstop

Wow Timmy I'm surprised he said that, I guess. He was probably just trying to get in your head again. So he won't help out his pitcher with the 5-man and also opens up a big hole right behind that guy in dead center. Then says you can't go there. Ya right. At your level there shouldn't be (and usually isn't) any problem. I don't go at pitchers but I have enough control to go left and right of them. I have for 30 years and will not stop now. I still think he's just screwing with you.

Discussion: Combat Centenarian Senior Softball Bat. Fully Loaded - durability?

My 2 cents on this bat is they do hit well after breaking in. This does take a little longer then others. But I have seen several (teammates) break before 200 swings. They probably are more durable then some others but they are still "senior" bats.

Well, I stand corrected. Just got a shirt today promised by SPA. Now I guess I have nothing to complain about. Hope more teams schedule this next year. Golden Eagle in Sparks is the best facility I've seen. Again well run tourney.

Discussion: SPA VS SSUA

I played in the SPA Reno tourney, and had a very good time. Yes the turn-out was poor, but the event was still run very well. We won our division (50 AAA) and received a great... photo op. That was it, promised a few things but, well, nothing. Too bad, I was looking forward to next year if more teams would go. Not sure now.
Don't get me wrong, I don't play for the prizes, play for fun. But I don't like being lied to either. Like I said it was a fun tourney, that's why I'm on the fence about next year (if there is one).

Donnie.

Pricer you're right, shouldn't call names, I just stooped to his level.
But was I wrong? No, he proves it every time he posts.

Oh jeez not another one. What do you want? Are you jealous you didn't get invited to the White House with the Giants? It's only softball, we play for the great fun of it. Or at least I do.

Uh, Gary have you actually played against Joe? If you have, then you are just being a dick. If you haven't then you are just being a dick. So either way...

Discussion: Waivers

Pricer I guess you are just referring to the pitchers waiver. But every league and utrip tourny I play in has you sign some sort of waiver, you probably do too. No big deal right? Like AI said it's an attempt to combat the lowest form of life, the lawyers.

So is it just the South Bend tourny that's the problem, or all of SPA. There's one in Sparks in Sept. we are thinking of going to. Can anyone expand on this? Never played in SPA before.
Thanks.

Biggest piece of crap ball I've ever played with. Two tourneys last year, 75-80 degrees, not fun. I've never hit a 52-275, I'm interested to see if it is any better. Have my doubts but who knows. I got to see for myself.

Hitt, if that was Merced then I was talking to him for a while. I didn't realize that bat had 700 hits on it, not bad. He hits hard and as the day went on he warmed up to it alot (sorry I didn't get his name).
