Why aren't the 55 Major and the 55 AAA playing their own 55 tournament ? This sounds like a whole lot of Politics and who you know . This tournament is suppose to be 50 AAA, Not 55 & 50 major. If the 55 and 50 Major's wanted to play, they should have gone to K.C. Why are the rules changed for just a few team just because they choose not to go to K.C. Ridge must also feel it should al be O.K. for 55 & 50 major team to pick up 50 AAA players when needed. That is exactly the message he is sending.I thought if you picked up players ,they were suppose to be from the same classification?Just as well throw the classifications down the toilet if these TD's are allowed to make up their rules as these tournaments go along.SPA National's, is not the time to making decision on what he "THOUGHT" might be fair.Did he think maybe if he had made that decision before enteries ,maybe he could have had enough 50 & 55 major teams playing AAA, and the 50 AAA could have played AA?

Our team play's 50 AAA, and I (speaking for myself) won't be very happy if we have to play 50 and 55 Major teams that were moved up to that classification because they won a World or National last year. SSUSA clearly states that any team that wins one of these tournaments are automaticly moved up the following year, for the ENTIRE year. If SPA lets them play down they are contridicting the rules set by SSUSA. Seems to me there are enough 55 teams to have there own tournament as they would be playing each other anyway if allowed to play in the 50's. There are enough 50 AAA teams for that division to be left alone to play for a legitimate title.

Stoneman-It seems no one "UNDERSTANDS," according to you. Gary 19 doesn't understand,Enviro-vac doesn't understand, Tate 22 doesn't understand, Wood doesn't understand,Smooth01 doesn't understand, and Rosey doesn't understand you, seems nobody on this board understands you. What I do understand is that there was 2 teams with some bad blood between them and they both tried to take it out on the pitcher, I do not think that was right and would not encourage that from my teamates, and should have been controled by the umpires if team members couldn't .Going middle like that seems like an isolated problem between those 2 teams. I was pitching against a young team and had a ball hit back at me intentionally, as the guy was a former teammate, luckily I got my glove up just as the ball hit my jaw and knocked me to the ground, the guy stood on first and jumped up and down in excitement. All my teamates were upset and wanted to retaliate,to keep everyone cool,I told them"It's part of the game, the whloe fields open."Was it bush? Hell yes, but when you get to age when you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.

Discussion: Playing in Qualifiers

Seems to me that only if you checked in at the tournament and then they checked you off with the roster that was turned in ,would you then be qualified. If you were on the roster and your team won a ring tournament, and you were not there, you would not recieve a ring,Teams could stack up rosters with "if "player's otherwise. I don't think you could qualify with a team to go to a tournament ,if you haven't played in the qualifying tournament with that team. The rules could prove me wrong ,if so, they need to be changed.

Einstein- you have swung both the Rip-It and the gray Combat Original Da Bomb Senior bat. Both are made by CE Composites ,could you give a comparison of the two? I realize that the Rip-It is ASA, just wondering if there could be a similarity between the two.I am going to buy a ASA bat ,and am weighing between the Rip-It Reaper or the Miken Recoil,I'd appreciate any input from your experience.

Our team is looking to purchase a case of the Combat Original bats, we are looking at the blue Original's from Combat, they have the same model # as the gray Senior Combat (ORISP1), Can anyone tell me if these are or will be allowed in Senior play? Seems to be the same bat with only a different paint scheme , Although the 1.20 isn't on the bat ,rumors are that they will be allowed as they are the same,

Discussion: Should we combine 50 with 55's?

Maybe entry fee's should be looked at, there has been discussion in the past in regards to this as some feel they are too high for what has been returned in awards. There was a World tournament this year that awarded T-Shirt and a Hat to 2nd place finishers ,The St.Louis World gave NOTHING to the 2nd place finishers. Seems like we put up a lot of money for entry fee's travel ,hotel, meals, and ASSOCIATION CARDS with little in return other than enjoying a weekend playing ball with the guy's.

I agree, just put a ring of colored tape at the top of the grip, I usually re-grip my bat with hockey tape from Scheels, it comes in lots of different colors and is easy to pick out, If you run out of colors, use a double ring of 2 different colors.

Nobody else will tell it like it is ,so I will, It's pretty evident that with the lack of response to this thread ,everyone is tired of your writing ,and reading about it .Why don't you just pick up the phone and call whoever you are trying to get a response from. That was not a question.

The banning of these bat's should only effect us Seniors that have to play ASA during the week in league play, Weekend tournaments ,you have a choice, and that should be not to play in ASA Senior tournaments. Stick with what got us here!

I agree with Mike C. on how expensive these tournaments are , with nothing in return ,With a 2nd place finish in the AAA World in St.Louis , individual player's recieved nothing, Mike, at least you recieved a hat
