Catcher goes to tag runner and right before contact runner crosses commit line and is tagged by catcher. By rule, runner is safe. Must he cross scoring line to score? Had situation and runner knew he was safe so he just went into dugout without crossing scoring line. |

Take the total number of teams and divide them evenly in either 3 or 4 divisions. Look at the records at mid year and move teams up or down. Do the same at the end of the year. There would be no 4 team or 60 team divisions which is ridiculous in both cases. |

He was in front of the gate opening to the dugout. No defensive player was close to the ball when it went in the dugout and no play could have been made. Where do you place the runner, live ball or dead ball. |

Ball bounces off the fence hard and strikes the on deck batter and goes out of play. The on deck batter tries to get out of way but has no chance of it missing him. What’s the call. |

Heaven forbid if you give timberworks a game or somehow beat them or if you win the Major division. Next stop is being rated major plus and “getting” to play timberworks 2 out of three for the next three tournaments. That really encourages a third or fourth place finish and think you are the winner. |

Major plus teams were given 5 runs last year and still could not beat tworks. If you play them in rr then you are at a definite disadvantage in seeding. In the bracket you will get knocked into the losers bracket even though you could be one of the better teams in the division. Tworks got to this point by scooping up all the major plus players and now expect to be bailed out by the major teams. Let them play 5 games, give them the trophy and let the major teams determine who is the best team without their disruption. |

They have monopolized the top players and teams are trying to get out of the top rating or are going to fold. SSUSA. You need to clean up your rating list, especially the Major Plus. There are teams listed that have not played for the last year or two. When you do that there are very few M+ teams listed. |

Home runs and power hitting. If you look how the Ancients and Hitmen scored you will see home runs and power. Enviro scored with base hits and quick runners. Major plus is about power and Hitmen and Ancient have a chance of competing and scoring 7 an inning. Enviro played Major plus and couldn’t compete with the 3 run blasts every inning. |

That would be December and June. It is now July and there are no changes to the ratings or decisions on the requested team ratings changes. As players we must play by the rules set by your association. You should be held to the same standards. |

Our 6:30 game at Worlds started st 8:25. Playing under the lights for the first time all year had an impact on several of our players performance. One reason was the 15-20 minutes to get games started. |

Courtesy runner only for batter who reaches base before next pitch 3. Umpires speeding up game (we have had some who don't care how many innings and some who take pride in getting 7) Any other suggestions? |

How many pitchers get seriously hurt in the AA or AAA with the bats and limited HR's? Very few. If you want to help the pitcher, make the mat six inches deeper and 2 inches wider on each side. Now a pitcher has some help in keeping the ball out of the middle. Most teams and players do not hit the middle if they have any integrity for the game and the pitcher. |

However, all the discussion has not even come close to solving the Major+ issue. Our team has not, nor will not, ever shy away from playing anyone and be very competitive. The reason for the post was very selfish in that I want to play with the guys I've played with for the last 10 years, play the game as it was intended, relying on hitting, defense, timely HR's and not having to play 4 or 5 inning games while the other team hits 20 HR's. Again my suggests for NEXT year. 1. Combine Major and Major+ teams with the level 1 and level 2 configuration for leveling. 2. Five runs per inning 3. 7 HRs per game 4. Dead Ball Outs (DBO) on HRs over 7. You will see an expansion of the Major Division and will be a level playing field for all teams involved. Any team can then win any tournament. |

Our team loves to play the game the way it was intended; hits, running the bases, fielding, and timely HRs. With the way the Major Plus is set up, you can rest assured that we will be watching fly balls sail out of the park, play four or five inning games, have no chance to play defense, and get beat because the Major Plus teams are all jackers and not complete players. You want to change and make this game a level playing field? 1. Eliminate the Major Plus classification 2. Put Major Plus with Major but put level 1 and level 2. When Level 1 plays level 2, level 2 gets 5 runs. 3. 5 runs per inning 4. 7 HRs per game 5. The biggest leveler of all. After 7 HRs, DEAD BALL OUTS. Brings defense, hitting, baserunning back to the game and creates large team numbers for the Major division instead of the 2 or 3 for the Major Plus. Come on SSUSA, be the leader in the change to save the game for EVERY team. |
