So the real question is why are ASA bats not allowed?

They perform less than 1.21

I know a pitcher in young guys ball that does this and slides into bases purposely trying to take out fielders and has. It is not a good idea to allow base runners to wear these.

I'm ripping him because it's not the first time he's come on here as an "expert" plagiarizing other peoples work. I'd like to know what his lab has for test equipment? What equipment did he use on field? I know what was used when this study was originally done in 2013 both in lab and on field. I was one of the hitters on field because of my ability to hit line drives and hit targets at 300 ft. Macenko can attest to that, or should I say one of his old bosses.

A little late to the party this was all done in 2013 and it is odd the actual and specific wording is now in your banter.

Why don't you post the actual test data and give credit the ones that did the scientific testing that you are regurgitating on here. People put a lot of time effort and money into the work they should be recognized for it.

Benji that's my point.

You played within the rules but had give runs or a player. There is so many guys out there to build teams that in the cut up parts of the country it is impossible to build competitive teams to compete.

I know as a player myself I wouldn't want to win or lose the way the game went.

If teams could pick up 2 more guys including you guys in the the west I think more teams could be competitive. Then everyone plays straight up. Better game less rules and more fun..

The reality is you guys may never use the extra two pickups but you could if needed so its fair to all.

The game has so many rules due to the equipment used its getting crazy. I remember back in 92 in NJ the 2 best teams battled it our with single wall bats and the score was 19 to 15. Most of those guys are still around and playing 70, All great players and big name guys. Back then you played 7 inning and scored as many runs as you could.

Dave hope you Fran and the entire family are well.

A couple of observations I've seen over the years of being involved with senior softball as a vendor going back to 1992 and as a player.

The best sponsor usually can get the best players.

The best players will attract other best players.

At some point there needs to be a top program that can work in younger ball it's major. ! team has been dominate for about 11 years. Yes they lost a few but I think it was 9 out of 11 at 1 point. Teams like this and the ones that compete against them get the best players from all over the country.. Yes I know this will not work for seniors because there is probably only 2 sponsors that could afford it..

But at the top level the top teams have different advantages and disadvantages based on whether they are from the east or west. take JK they can play entirely within the rules and maintain the best team status. There is an abundance of players available to them to pick from. Borders give them almost the entire west coast at least where the most players are from. Plus they get 2 pickups.

Now team Kitty great team and sponsors. If the states here on the east coast weren't so cut up they could have a equal team and wouldn't have needed the extra fielder to compete. Now I didn't say win they would be able to compete on the same level. Now if they get moved up based on the win the have no one to play out east, that's no fun.

So lets say you allow major plus 4 pickups. It would help the east greatly while not punishing the west they too could get 4. I think it would make the other teams in the west stronger allowing them to get dome outside guys that JK doesn't have and raise their competitiveness.

In the east it would allow many teams the ability to get more competitive. There's many players to pick up 2-3 hours away from top teams but cant play with them because of border restrictions. By doing this everyone gets better no one get hurt.

Then go to major and allow 2 and again everyone gets better no one gets hurt. The east has always been tough since the restrictions, and I know you guys have done many things to make it easier for these teams but just a few players to the top two teams would really equal out the competition.

IF know JK didn't like to lose that way and Kitty win that way, the rules determined the outcome of the game These guys just want to go out and battle on the field and the best rises. As long as east and west gets same amount of pickups the competition will get better for everyone.

Wish I could come to convention to dee you guys but I've had a few surgeries in the last 3 months and still cant really walk. Say hi to all hope your all well.

Yeah kinda dumb. Instead of changing geographical borders so east coast teams can compete at a higher level, the best teams in the west got bumped to plus plus. I think it's unfair to the west because now they have to give runs or a fielder when the teams aren't that far apart.

Team Kitty beat JK.inc in 50 major plus finals taking the extra player. If they were allowed to get a couple more players from around the east coast they could have and would have played them straight up. Who knows who would have won but the games would have been great to watch.

How you been btw.

Sorry anther point. Right now there are several posts from teams in the east looking for players. There are some right now. I don't think I've ever seen one from a west team. I might not have paid attention either.

I do agree that classification is a problem. As you say in 65 most teams probably should be playing major. The reality is that there is probably only 3-4 m+ 65-70 and so one in the entire country.

In the 50's it can be easily fixed and again at worlds the best team doesn't always win.

So looking at teams in the 50s best I can tell there are 6 m+ in ca. There are 6 east of the Mississippi. A few more in other states in the west. Wa and AZ.

So if you let them pick up from east/west there would be a lot more parody in performance level of play. There is many good players in the east that could play m+ but no teams within there borders. Pick ups are generally the best players in the country. Leaving really good players playing down.

One thing I have noticed in the past that many m and m+ champions came from the west and many of the aa and aaa champions came from the east I think that is because with so many small states teams with great players just continue to play together instead of the hassle of traveling alone to get on better teams or moving up to play less teams.

Webbie its a whole lot more difficult than access.

Lets take a state like Fl. People move there to retire and live life. There are recreation programs for everything and seniors participating in everything,
Ca,UT,Az and many other states are similar.

Look at the northeast. Virtually no recreation programs at all. Any leagues around are run by private entities and there is not that much participation.
From Boston to Philadelphia there are 3 tri state areas. People have to commute hours a day to work. By the time players are in their 40 they are done playing. What little free time they have is spent with family. There still is great players around they just wont play. Between 12- 14 hours days at work and commute they just don't want to. Then you say Tn, that is a wide state with a lot of wilderness in that entire region. They may have access to many states but it is tough to be a team when you have guys coming from all over many alone to become a team.

Take Ca tons of great players, tons of leagues, tons of tourneys. Several different associations to play covering the entire state. And its a different lifestyle that is conducive to being active in recreation programs.

In the north east there in an entire month in the summer that does not have a tournament to play in. We only have 8 months to play and April is hit or miss with rainouts as you saw on the message board and Oct you could play n a 70 degree day or a 40 degree day.

I disagree it is difficult to just put a major teams together on the east coast. I know of a major plus team that if they could get 2 more players and they are available could compete with JK easily. The problem is they have 2 pick ups already. Look from San Fran to La that would be 4 states on the easy coast. Back when they put these rules in Dan had players from Ca to Fl, Va and every where. These are best players in senior softball why not split the country. For last 10 years most of all the best m+ teams come from Ca.

Why wouldn't they address the real problem?

Take 2 identical maps. Cut Ca and adjoining states then flip the cutout over and place on the east coast. You will find that it is pretty close to east of the Mississippi. Allow the east and west to pick up anyone they like from east/west and no team will be dominate.

This sounds like our government just adding bs instead of fixing the real problem.

It's a business and the product is the game. You purchased a product that was not delivered.

If you bought softballs from our company and the container did not get delivered on time which is out of our control, we have no right to keep the money.

I know it is a tough situation on all sides and I'm sure the will be resolve to all of this, you just may have to be patient.
