Feb. 8 smooth01 Men's 50 128 posts | haven't read much about Wintercrest lately , I still use it and now my grand children are using it for their sports injuries. I thought I purchased my last jar from Alan, anyone know who might be selling it now or is Alan still selling it ? Any Senior Softball discounts or would any reps be at the TOC ? |

Feb. 10 softball4b Men's 70 1250 posts | I am not a doctor and I did not stay at a holiday inn express, but personally I think the ingredient that does the most good for both of these products is the DMSO. That being said I just get DMSO, works for me. |
Feb. 10 swing for the fences Men's 50 1224 posts | I have to agree with 4b... and it's a lot cheaper for a lot more of the product! |
Feb. 11 The yooper 28 posts | 4b/swing: I never realized that DMSO was an ingrediant of wintercrest. It is good to hear that. so thank you. DMSO has been around for many years, problem with it is it makes my skin itch a lot. Perhaps I have an reaction to it not sure, how does it effect you guys. A good idea to put it in a product like wintercrest as DMSO does not smell too good (like an Oyster/garlic) and wintercrest smells better. DMSO cost about $20 for a roll on, wintercrest if I recall I paid $35 for a similiar amount. Not sure what other healing ingrediants are in wintercrest, one should perhaps read what they are. DMSO always helped me and I still use it. I think it is sold as a solvent not as something to help with pain. I recall hearing that NFL teams in the 70's used it regularly for pain and inflamation in the locker rooms. Donny C, The Yooper |
Feb. 11 softball4b Men's 70 1250 posts | IMO - the DMSO acts as a delivery agents for the other ingredients within the product. DMSO is an industrial lubricant and for years been used by veterinarians. I am not advocating the use of anything in particular, but todays DMSO is different than the DMSO used in the 70's and 80's. That stuff you could not put on with a colored cloth because it would take the color directly to the blood stream. You knew when you had taken too much because of the copper taste in your mouth. The crap we did when we were young. |
Feb. 11 The yooper 28 posts | 4b: Thank you for the info. I do recall how using a colored cloth would put the dye directly into your blood stream. I did not know the new stuff is different than what I used in the 70's. So if I am understanding you this can speed up other medication one takes. I may try it with peppermint and coconut oil I have been using together of late for arthritis. Donny C The Yooper |
Feb. 12 hoovedog Men's 50 73 posts | Didn't one year at the Phoenix Worlds, Wintercrest had a display tent, where young women applied Wintercrest to Senior Ball Players, as a demonstration on how well it works? |
Feb. 12 crusher Men's 75 524 posts | hooverdog - YES, that year I had trouble with both shoulders, quads, tricepts, and hamstrings. And they were very nice looking young women. |
Feb. 12 hoovedog Men's 50 73 posts | That's for sure Crusher, the healthiest guys on the field fell subject to a myriad of injuries when they got near that tent. All the wives on our team acted liked there was a radiation leak in that tent,,,better stay away!! |
