Rating Question
Player plays the last 3 seasons with a 55 major team and worlds, then plays a qualifier and the worlds in the 50 major division in the same season.

What is the players over all rating? 55 Major or 50 Major?

My "guess" would be Major for either age group. But given you are mainly a 55 player. if they had to pick only one, it would be 55 major.

I thought the same thing Taits...But he's not allowed to play TOC as a 55 major because he played in those 2 50 major tourneys....I'm confused also..maybe Staff can assist?

I do believe its all about your player index rating. For the last two years, I was able to play 55 Major Plus, 50 Major, and 40 AAA in the World Championships. I think each of these divisions will give you player index rating of 8. 50 Major Plus which I played from '09-'13 gives you a rating of 9. Some players will rate a 10.

rightrj1 ... There are multiple issues running around here ... One for a "regular" roster build and another for the "TOC" roster build ... And it's complicated by the player having played two events at the higher rating level of 50-Major (R/I=8) ... That takes him out of the "one time exemption" category ...

For a regular roster, he MAY still play for the 55-Major team (R/I=7) team as one of their three allowed out-of-rating players ... The TOC rules are more restrictive ... Generally, NO player may be added to a TOC roster if he has a player R/I history greater than that of the team ... So a 55-Major team may add to get to 12 players with 55-Major or below in the 55's OR 50-AAA or below in the 50's ... The roster adds for getting to players #13-15 on a TOC roster require those adds to be at an R/I of 6 or less ...

If this isn't as clear as it seems to us, please call the Sacramento office and have one of the eligibility specialists walk you through it with actual names and player histories ...

50M . Player could play 55M but not for the TOC unless,he qualified for the TOC with your team . Sounds as if the player did not qualify for the TOC with your team and you want to add him as a pick-up ?? Team makeup comes into play but, adding a player rated above the rating (55M)you qualifed would not be allowed. I think this players rating changed as soon as he signed the roster and played 50M. Player exemptions and additions for the TOC must be the same or lower than the rating qualified.Adding a player with a higher rating technically and in theory changes the make up of the team.

Titand,
You're correct he's trying to be added to a 55 major TOC roster
I understand the higher rating...However would this still apply if he's the 12th man for the TOC roster?...

Unless I'm reading it wrong, your answer is in the SSUSA explanation. Once the player played in 2 50 Major events he then had a higher rating (8) than his team at 55 Major (7). Therefore he would not be eligible to be added to TOC roster because "NO player may be added to TOC roster if he has a player R/I history greater than his team". Unfortunate, but thems the rules.
