This wkend. I have lost all respect 4 SENIORS. I played in an UNLIMTED HOME RUNS EVENT, in which teams could being their own balls to hit. Some of the young men teams did not bring their balls to hit.

So, I let the teams that we played against hit my 44 cor 375 comp DECKERS. I had 22 good DECKERS.

WELL, what do u think, when 3 players on my team hit the OUTLAW-- H.R. CONTEST, Yellow Senior Rip-It?

I guest that I am a lier, if, one reads some of my past post. Or, am I a RAT BASTARD? Do we wonder why, this world is so Messed Up?

RIGHT is RIGHT & WRONG is WRONG. I am to Old to be anyone MORALE POLICE. After all, DECKER, makes a grat ball...... The SENIOR COMBAT, was allowed to be hit by SENIORS. A few young men tried to hit the SENIOR COMBAT, & WERE TOLD TO USE ANOTHER BAT.

Hay, ROSEY 19..... U r right...... Seniors, should hit reg' bats & no special SENIOR BATS.

Everyone, should be allowed to think 4 theirself. This is AMERICA & AMERICANS, can do no wrong.

GEE. no wonder I can not find a 50 or 55 MAJOR PLUS team to play on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHO cares, what I think or ...

I CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT PRICE ONE (must) PAY. JUSTICE 4 ALL...... The STONEMAN (what a bat taste I have in my soul.)

Hey Stephen,
I just came from seeing Gerald and hearing him praise
you and your contributions to him and his team last weekend in Reno.
Don't give up the ghost.
Sometimes good people make mistakes and need some time
to put them in proper perspective and as we both know
there are some huge issues around hot bats and bad balls
that provide a broad context for discussion.

I don't want to think of Senior Softball without the Stoneman
and we got important business to attend to in October.

stoney was this a NASF tourney?if it was they have allowed the elite rip-it before in their tourney's,at least last oct in vegas they did.anyone could use it,not just seniors.us seniors could use our senior bats(aka u-2 and senior combat).if i can remember right they also let the senior combat be used by anyone also(officals didn't know about it at that time).

i might try and break his code, here we go.
i think he saying he was in an unlimited hr tourney with the kids and some of his senior buddies.they had good balls and bats to use(aka anyone over 50 could use any senior bat).well lo and behold some of his senior friends or guys on his team decided to use the elite rip-it senior bat(non-assoc type).stoney like i said in the earlier post if it was NASF tourney they have allowed that bat for ALL to use,at least last yr.

by the way rosey-19 there was no mentioning of going middle in his post.

Now it makes less sense. If they were his team mates and friends why didn't he just tell them they couldn't use it.

If the Combat and Ultra are allowed ,then no one should care if the Rip-It was used . It is a good bat . Right there with both of the before mentioned bats . Between the 3 ,it just comes down to which one fits your swing . The Combat and the Yellow bat are made by the same company . Combat had a one year exclusive with the co. and that is why the yellow bat didn`t get sanctioned . We tend to romanticize that the next bat as hotter and better than than what we have .and the myth gets bigger as it is told ."The Grass is Greener " . The reality usually doese`t live up to the hype . Great bat , but not significantly better or worse than the two we have access to now .

Foothills - I have to heartily dissagree. The Rip-It Elite (as is) is right up there with the original Ultra when it comes to pop. I hit the bat that Backlast (Bill) brought to demo at Florida Classic Spring Training. We hit these at the prison game and then all weekend long in BP. This bat is hot.

That's why I started the thread about sanctioning of this bat earlier and that's why hitters such as Einstein and others are touting this bat so highly AND THAT'S ALSO why the guys Stoney is talking about chose to use this bat for the HR contest over any and all others. Right now it's the hottest thing out there. Will it get sanctioned as is? Hopefully, but if it does it will corner the market.

Ok, I've checked my wording and spelling as I messed up the last post pretty well - so - good to go.

Oete D . Just got done talking to Stoneman and found out something I didn`t know . My experience with the bat has been with a 26 OZ. He said that was the only weight that passed the testing . The heavier bats didn`t . So if the heavier ones are hotter than you are probably right .If i get a chance to swing a heavier one I will be the first to say I was wrong . My experince and opinion are based solely on my experience with the 26 OZ.

I also have talked with Stoneham and I now better understand his frustration with the whole thing.

That was a good example of when you don't have a strong director running any event that will enforces the rules even though it may avend a few people.
