| June 7 madsenior 54 posts | when we were kids it was such a putdown to say "you hit like a girl".... after watch the WCWS I wish I could hit like a girl. If you guys are not watching it is a great show of softball. This gals really got the swing. Check out ESPN |
| June 7 Omar Khayyam 1357 posts | mad, I had a similar experience last year. I heard about a gal that could hit it out at one of the parks that I play senior league at. I only knew two league guys that could hit it out there, so I was a nonbeliever. Then I went one night to watch her play. 6'4", about 230 pounds of muscle, sweet swing, hit one 300 foot blast while I watched (hit the fence, not over)—yeah, she could hit it out. I, too, wish I could hit like THIS girl. |
| June 7 mad dog Men's 65 4191 posts | MS i have watch almost all the games of the WCWS,and you are right,there are a bunch of great hitters there.their swings looks so good,very few hit any cheap ones out. omar was at a coed tourney a month or so back and watched a girl hit one out and a few others bounce it off the fence(one against my fine pitching,LOL),now it was the girls ball(11") but still they hit it real good. |
| June 7 Omar Khayyam 1357 posts | mad dog, I found the equalizer when I pitched coed was with the smaller women's ball I could put a twist on that made anything other than a dead center hit a probable out. Wish I could have pitched that little ball to some of the guys, too. |
| June 7 mad dog Men's 65 4191 posts | yeah the little ball will behave diff,i sometimes have a prol with the women,b/c of their height and not so free swinging as guys.i also don't play a lot of coed so throwing the little ball is not a regular thing for me. |

| June 8 mad dog Men's 65 4191 posts | yes madsenior the fp ball is 12" for the college girls,i was talking about the slowpitch ball that is 11". dbax what the hell were they doing,i feel bad for the az pitcher,she should of been out of that inning with a win twice. |
