bad Ultra 2
I would like to agree with the many who mentioned a bad batch of Miken Ultra 2's. The one I have now is number 19. It never acheived power anywhere near my first 18. Something was wrong in the manufacturing process.

I too got one of the duds, sent it back to Miken and crossed my fingers. Needed a bat for Vegas so I bought an Ambush, barely had enough time to break it in and couldn't be happier. I was one of the lucky ones and Miken sent a replacement. The replacement bat now has the serial number where you can see it. Still in the wrapper, I do not think I will use it after swinging the ambush.

Skins,
If it is not preforming send it back now. The longer you use it the less likely they are to replace it. I will not be buying any Miken products even if they turn out to be the best. I can hit it out with any senior bat (except with the dud they refused to replace).

Skins6, please contact Miken Sports at 877 807 5291 and ask for Warranty and they will take care of you. If the bat is truly stiff and one of the isolated bats that went out, out of spec, then it will be replaced. This whole process is very simple as Miken has been taking care of this since it happened. Unfortunate that many people use this as an opportunity to try and get another bat when they think they don't have much life left in the U2 they have that is hitting fine. I have hit some of the best bats I have ever hit during this process and it is sad that a few are trying to ruin it for the others who truly have gotten one of the stiff models. All I can say is Miken is replacing the bats that come in stiff, they are also field tested with 44 core balls to assure we are doing what is right for customers.

AP,
There is more than enough feed back on this and other forums to prove Miken is most likely not fully vetting every bat that is returned. There was nothing in the form letter I received with the return of my bat that stated it was field tested, it only stated that the bat passed your compression test.

Vilifying customers is unbecoming.

Contact me if you would like to discuss.

AP? Do you think we WANT to send back a brand new bat that we expected to use as a gamer? The bat you got back from me didn't have much life left because IT DIDN'T HAVE ANY LIFE TO BEGIN WITH! I was told by the guy I bought it from to "keep hitting it - it will open up". I trusted that bad advice and now you, the manufacturer, give us this attitude because we eventually send it in for you to analyze?? C'MON MAN. I've been using this bat for BP because its no good for anything else. I'm used to breaking a couple of Maxloads per year in games with no complaints. I STILL CAN'T BREAK THIS ONE!!
Try being your customer for a change of perspective.
