Patrick....IF, ya buy a COMBAT....BP is about the only way to break it in...I DO NOT ...recommend using it as a TEAM BAT...NOPE!!! it won't last. Our team bought one a few weeks ago...lasted..about 3 weeks...end cap came off...yeah, we're getting it replaced...too many guys swinging it.........OH...rotate the bat too....what I was told..

team mate and I bought one....ONLY FOR US. RED tape on the bat...only for he and I.....

Good luck...

YES...is this the same Wes that is playing with us, or with our 60s group? If so, give Rainbo a call on his cell with the details, what age brackets, etc....we're planning on playing 4/22 or 4/29 in Dayton. Might as well play our age bracket if we can...do you have details...go ahead and post them...

Thanks..

Discussion: If you believe in God; finish this sentence..............

GUYS...I definately DON'T APOLOGIZE for my religious beliefs, I certainly NEVER INTENDED to imply I wa forcing anything on ANYONE! However, I respect YOUR opinions on what this Softball M/board is REALLY intended to express.

I don't think Tater50 was doing any more than getting some opinions from guys around the country.

I WILL refrain from any FURTHER posts on religious opinions from this date forward...

Thank you

Thank U Lord...that U are in the "FORGIVING BUSINESS", when I come to U and ask to forgive a sinner like ME...U are there! We're NOTHING, without HIM, Blessed beyond deserving and LOVED by the GREATEST FRIEND we will ever know! What a Savior!!!

Blessings...well, our wives, children, g/kids that none of us can describe to those that don't have them...awesome., a free country to display our agreements or disagreements.

and lastly....WE get to participate in this game of softball, where "friendships are priceless!" Thanks, Senior Softball guys!!!!

Discussion: Indianpolis area 50+ team looking for players

Corky...what's happened to your team, with needing players.? WE, the Dayton Legends 50s have always had great games with you guys. The core of our 50s have moved to the 55s now for 2007. The guys still 50ish have moved to an Akron team, The Dayton Legends do NOT have a 50s team this year. We didn't have enough guys to fill out a team, so they moved to play with an Akron 50s team.

So, how are things looking for 2007? Good luck to you guys over there. See you May 5,6th...in Indy

Discussion: NSA

Bread...we won the Cullman, Alabama NSA last year in 2005, we got our Championship shirts, right on the spot, we did NOT recieve ANY RING PACKAGES other than we were able to order them. We went with Jostens and they were GREAT to work with.
There was NOT any $$$ given toward rings for 2005, maybe they have changed the policy. Good luck.
All of the items mentioned SHOULD HAVE been given out right after the finals. NO EXCUSE!

I know my team mate is having some major issues with getting some Tourney Shirts and hats that he and some other guys ordered and "PROMISED" within 7-10 days and they are STILL NOT HERE, 7 weeks later either.

Discussion: Player release form

Moose11...if you'll email Terry H or Fran, state WHAT you are asking to do. Put in the statement that so and so has asked to be released from team, x, specifics of class, players name, info on player......... that's enough. At least.
it was in April when we needed to do if for a player moving to a new team.

It's NOT ROCKET SCIENCE and shouldn't be.

Good luck

Discussion: Want to go to Seattle

Gene22...just a recommendation...I'd call Terry H. on this before you get yourself and a team in a forfiet situation out in Seattle.
I'm pretty confident if you are NOT on a roster by now to a team going to Seattle, NO ONE ELSE can add or pick you up for their roster.
I'd check it out!

Discussion: Team ratings?

Well..this is a MIGHTY SORE SUBJECT for our team, even though we lost 13 off our roster and only 2 guys left off the original team. We get penalized for WINNNG last year, even though we give them the proper paper work, 2 pages of documentation for reclassification. WHY...if you win a National Championship, lose 13 guys off your roster and made to move to AAA? How...can you expect a team to compete when you aren't even told you have to move UP till April of 2006?????????? Real fair....!!!!

Let's see...2 tournaments.....1-4 and 1-3.
Win 1 -against AA
Win 2 -against AAA missing several players
UPSET...U BET!!!!

Discussion: FYI NSA Worlds in Rock HIll, S.C............

To the TD for Rock Hill, SC...NSA Worlds...

Sir...most if not ALL of your 50s group STILL work! A day or two vacation is understandable, taking 3-4 days, expenses of gas and motel is another added expense and quite unnecessary! We did this entire tourney in 3 days max in Alabama, including travel.
I sure think you're 60 + group of mostly retired could do the early Thursday play time, for the most part.

I think I can speak for MOST of the 50s age group...CHANGE THE DATES HERE, so it will be a fun competitive time for all, with more people able to come.
This could VERY WELL knock us out of this tournament for a Thursday start date.

Thank you for you consideration

Kudos to the Columbus, IN group for getting in the SPA tournament. A GREAT JOB by the grounds crew to make the diamonds playable for Sunday. NICE JOB.

Nice bunch of folks.
If anyone has some FINAL results, would you give the M/Board an update.
