Your best bet is to sign up on the Huntsman site as looking for a team.

baseballbill. Speaking from the North side of 75, most of the associations in which we play, try to limit the games to two per day. 'Course, this depends mostly on the number of teams entered. Often, if there's a large number, the teams will be split into two or more "flights," or brackets, and. they try to pair the skill levels. Ergo, there are two or more winners. And, as with most senior softball, there are always some complaints. But, it seems to work and the players enjoy the tournaments. We old folks like it when we're helped across the street! LOL

Ken, sharpen up your hitting with a little more bp, and we'll give you a tryout, for our 75 team, the next time you're at Woodlawn. :)

Discussion: New age eligibilty rules for 75s and 80s - Reactions?

Just a couple of points. In the Florida Half Century (FHC), the age has been dropped to 74 for all players in the division. A little different, but not much. Works well, in fact. And yes, we use the safety pitching screens.

Now, for we 75+ players, if we can just convince the SSUSA and SPA to drop the "Snowbird" requirements when we play down to a lower age, that would be great! JMHO

Just an additional note on the 75 AAA group. Don't know the winner, however, Monkey Joe's took third, losing to the Louisville Red Birds in the losers bracket. LI would have had to lose both games in the finals as they were in the winners bracket. The only losses suffered by Monkey Joe's was to Louisville, who came from behind in the seventh to win in each game. If Louisville won, big congrats! They're a good team.

Crusher, I concur completely. Since I'm, intently I might add, following one of the players on Kentucky's team (so you can imagine where my allegiances lie), I believe all those involved are doing their best to make it a memorable and rewarding event. Many, many volunteers and sponsors put tremendous effort into giving most of these young players a once in a lifetime experience. To be playing in the final eight is exciting enough. But, to win, WOW! It would be tremendous to have perfection in every aspect of the game, but then, we know that won't happen. We've all been there. So, relax and enjoy the athleticism and sportsmanship these young gentlemen are exhibiting.

Try the Miken Ultra 750. That seems to be an okay ASA bat.

Wes, keep that thought in mind for this summer. The Legends will let you play the outfield AND run every inning - just to keep you into the game! LOL!

Don't know if it's the one about which you're inquiring, but there's a new complex about ten miles south of the airport at Central Winds Park in Winter Springs, FL.

Gary, you play the outfield - or did (LOL). So, what about a rule that sez, "the ball can only be hit into the shady side of the outfield" (Tongue-in-cheek here)?

SSUSA Staff, great job on the brackets and scores for the TOC. When will those of the Winter Worlds and Winter Nationals be available?

Check out the results (on this board and Twitter) for the TOC. They're reported as they occurred - today! Still would like to see the Ft Myers Winter Worlds results!

Cincinnati airport is my least favorite to be sure! It's not even in Cincinnati! It's in Kentucky! And several miles from Ohio! But, there are cheap flights into and out of it. So, to save money, you have to put up with the inconvenience.

Nah! Probably sent by "snail mail" from Ft Myers and was handled by "snowbird retirees." LOL

Only experience that I've had involves Cincinnati airport. They require you to pick up "sports equipment" at a separate carousel. I don't believe Tampa has such a requirement. Good luck at the TOC and check out the Woodlawn Hitting Club in St. Pete!
