I despise wearing a mask, I mean I really hate wearing a mask! I think it is an attack on my personal liberties to be forced to wear one. But, with that being said, if it means the difference between playing and not playing, I am wearing the damn mask! I wore in in the last two tournaments we played in. You have a choice to wear it or not, but if you want to play you have to wear it, no one is forcing you to play. Look at it like any other rule you do not like but adhere to!

This change now conflicts with the Bullhead City tournament going on the same weekend. Pretty lousy to schedule over another tournament!

Slow down Curveball, let's not get LVSSA in hot water with the city. League is most definitely not happening at Lorenzi park under the current permit, only practices and BP. Social distancing and masks when not on the field are the order of business as Curveball stated. But while I am holding out hope that the Worlds will be able to take place for Session #4, I am not putting any money on it!

We were threatened with the police being called when we were retrieving a home run that came too close to an backyard that did not have a fence. The guy was a jerk and expected us to basically get in our car, drive around to his street and come to the front door for every ball. Look, why buy a house on softball fields if you are going to be a jerk about a ball going into your yard??? Fields were great, cannot say so for the neighbors!

This will feel cool compared to how hot it was in Yuma for the SoCal championships! Stay hydrated, bring a pop up sun shade, stay hydrated, pay attention to your body, stay hydrated, avoid too much alcohol, stay hydrated and most importantly, stay hydrated!

Everyone came through Yuma fine, even the couple umpires who the heat got to! I am going back to my old Army days here, but if you wait until Friday to start getting hydrated it is too late! Start drinking a lot of fluids today!!!

Guess my question from a couple days ago just got answered. The tournament page shows the Southwest Championships in Vegas at the end of the month cancelled!

Bigger question for me is, what about the LVSSA/SSUSA Southwest Championships in Vegas at the end of the month? I trust SSUSA will find a place for us to place and Dave will work his voodoo and we will get the Western Nationals in for all age groups. I, unfortunately, do not have the same feeling for the upcoming SW Champs! Nevada Governor Sisolak will never allow it to happen! Maybe St. George will welcome us back 2 weeks after the Western Champs!

Dave, you should know by know that no matter what you do people are going to complain about it! You could give them 9 out of 10 things they ask for and they would still say something!

I hate to be that guy, but that being said, I am gonna be that guy! Sorry in advance Dave, but any idea when the schedule for session #2 will be out?

I am sure the changes in the Session #1 teams did not help getting session #2 complete.

Thanks!!!!!

The Nevada governor, yesterday stated and I quote "a new directive is expected shortly to extend the current restrictions". Those restrictions include no gatherings of over 50 people, restrictions on team sports such as baseball and softball.

How are we expected to play in Mesquite in 2 weeks? Especially given that Clark county, where Mesquite is located, is probably going to be the last county the gov. allows to be back to business as usual.

Just my thoughts......

I am surprised to see that we are playing in Mesquite. Nevada has not moved into phase 3, and are governor is threatening to move us back!

Discussion: Prescott

The state has given the city and county the power to make that decision.

"Under the latest order, the state's Department of Liquor Licenses and Control will suspend special event and festival licenses, although a city or county would be allowed to approve a large gathering, if social distancing and other safety guidelines are followed."

With the Arizona shutdown there is still this piece of the governors order that will allow a city or county to decide for themselves.

"Under the latest order, the state's Department of Liquor Licenses and Control will suspend special event and festival licenses, although a city or county would be allowed to approve a large gathering, if social distancing and other safety guidelines are followed."

Hopefully this means that Prescott will not get cancelled!

Forget Reno, our esteemed governor has extended Phase II through the end of July. So gatherings like softball will be limited to 50 people or less.
