Up until about a year ago I had a Glovesmith glove (lasted 10 years), and have tried off the shelf gloves but can't find one I like.

I was looking at Gloveworks and SX3. Has anyone had any experience good or bad with either. In order to comply with SSUSA rules about sales, please send me your answer to my email hc50ssoftball@gmail.com

THanks,

Bill

E6 .... Funny... I've played against you enough and don't recall seeing any E6's.

Best of luck in Vegas.

I have used the same A2000 since about 1975. I've taken good care of it and average about 100 games per year. They cost more then the typical gloves on the market but are well worth it.

Ive had several gloves since I was a kid. I picked up a Nokona on clearance for 100.00 .. broke it in and ended up using my old glove still because it was too heavy. I loved the glove tho. Put it on Ebay and sold it for 275.00 Anyway, that was a couple years ago. I currently have a great little Easton glove that was about 75.00 and its nice but not the quality I had hoped. A few friends recently bought from a guy here in Az. AZGLOVEMAN.com he's also on facebook. I ended up ordering. His prices way better than any custom glove Ive ever seen. 155.00 and you can pick everything color of inside leather, outside leather, pocket, lacing, stitching if you want embroidery. Its a great quality leather, Im still working on breaking it in. Seems to have more padding than any glove Ive ever had as well which is why its taking me longer to break in. Im hoping to have it ready to go for Vegas but his stuff is worth the price!

I use a Shoeless Joe 14" "H" web model. This is a great glove with little or no break in necessary. The glove cost me $160. Top leather hand made glove.

Bill,
One of our middle infielders swears by the Nokona, fact is, I think he is breaking in a backup model now.

Not a custom but the Spalding Pro Select is an extremely under rated glove. You can get NWT on the auction site for less than $100, a very good value.

If you're looking custom then Glovesmith is as good as it get; they will work with you to get the fit and finish you want.

I'm a big Nokona fan but you have to be conscience of the leather combination, if weight is a concern. Kangaroo and sandstone are your best choice to reduce the weight.

Check out the Dudley fielding gloves. But if you want a custom colored glove that is really nice and priced right check out MTZ.I have two of them 14" with different colors and love them.

I have to agree with chico, the A2000 is the best glove I've ever had. Bought mine 25 years ago and just this season had it restrung. I will play with it for the rest of my life.

I used an A2000 for 20 years and it worked great.....at the time it was one of the biggest gloves around.....unfortunately as I got older I needed a little extra pocket and Wilson didn't help...I ended up with a Vinci and haven't looked back once.....I am on my 2nd glove only because the newer one had a bigger pocket....I sometimes find the A2000 in my bag and it looks so tiny...it would be a good glove for a younger player for infield but Vinci has done me well the past 15 years

bkb555, I just bought a Vinci today. I hope it is a great glove, I am waiting for it to be shipped. I got the TJ1952-L black 13 1/2 inch. I never heard of this company until your post.

Dancer....this is my 2nd Vinci glove.....I got the exact model as you did and I am breaking it in right now (took the winter off and I should have been working all that time in the winter months).....it is about a 1/2" longer than my other Vinci glove....I found out about them yrs ago when the same question came up about getting a new glove...I had an A2000 that the pocket just wasn't big enough for softball outfield......but follow the instructions on break-in and work the glove often...the leather softens up quickly and soon it will feel as good if not better than the old reliable you had

BKB555 My Vinci glove was on back order but I did get it Saturday. I had my nickname put on it, the stitching looks pretty good. Still have to break it in, but I think I am going to love the glove. It does have a big pocket.
