Dalton GA SPA AAA Tournament
Anybody going Sept. 11-14? I know it's only AAA but closing in on 62 it's getting to be my speed for softball. I'm hoping to see some friends I haven't seen in a while.

Beside Dalton and area is a very pretty place. I got Anne to go this year so we will do as much sight seeing this year as softball.

See you there.

Charlie

We are all honored that you would lower your standards and want to participate at such a recreational level. C'mon down to the 50AAA level and let us see what you boast of. Accept my apology if you meant something different than the post seems to mean

My 60AA team along with another team had their reservations and travel plans set. Ridge didn't answer my e-mail asking if there was anyway we could get into the tourney with only one qualifer as the rules say AA has to be in "2". We only had 1 qualifer that was even close to the Chicago area. We cancelled all our plans. He then came out later and said 1 was OK after the 1 qualifer had passed. What? Not enough teams signing up. Well, he lost 2 teams. I told Fran about this at the Eastern Nationals and she said SSWC has accepted Ridge's ratings. Why can't Ridge accept SSWC ratings? We would have come.

Bob, we sure need to get together, if Bruce comes up we will all have dinner together. Maybe you could pick up some deer carcus along side of the road when you leave TX and we will toss it on the grill. :)

Bruce hope you could make it.

Starburst, I am playing with Senior Moments 60 AAA, hope to see you, come and hollar, not sure where I will be playing or what number but just yell Charlie, I got beer.
Just kidding.

Corky, I don't remember saying that I was lowering my standards to play AAA, AAA is where 70% of all softball players play, I don't include my self in the other 30%. But having played Major most of my senior career and a season of major plus ar the great age of 51, now 10 years later AAA would be a great place for me, I play FHC and our team is always rated Major. Thats where my "local" friends play. I am sorry if it sounded downgrading to you but it was not ment to sound that way. We should all be happy to play at any level at our age.

Fred, stop by Senor Moments and give me a hollar.
What team are you playing with?

4X4, Bob has got that thing to run on 2 cylinders after it reaches 35 mph (he reaches down and jerks off some plug wires, he can get up to 7 mpg that way. Make sure you look him up, he will have to sell some bats just for fuel to get back home. :)

Gary, it would have been nice to see you again, sorry about the mix up. Maybe we will catch up at one of the Winter Nationals.

thanks for the clarification. like you, I'm just happy to be playin. sorry again if i misunderstood, but sometimes the big boys seem to look down their noses at the lower skill levels. Our squad keeps on improving hoping to get the respect that comes with playing at a higher level. Just let us earn our way there. good luck in Dalton

Charlie - I don't think on 2 cylinders the motorhome will do 35 IF Bob is in it. Especially once he's away from that big flat thing they call Texas. Heck - it would get stopped by the next Armadillo it hit. Of course in Texas maybe that's what they use for wheel chalks????

But the yanking off the spark plugs running does explain his hair style..........

cpope: I am with the Joseph Chevrolet 75+ team out of Ky. If I read the schedule right you are playing the following week. We will be there from 09/04-07.

It looks like only the 70-75 and 80's are playing that weekend along with the 40-45's. That is quite a contrast.
