Can we drop some of these long long threads and start something new. Who is playing where in Jan. and Feb? Any local tournaments or anything? We are having a local in Pasadena, just east of Houston, in Feb. Who else is doing something?

Paradise Const. is playing next weekend in Savannah in the SSAA Winter Worlds, Class D.
Kayson Grille, 50 AAA(some Paradise guys) will be at the TOC as will my team, Miken/Anaconda Sprorts, 60 M+.
The week after the TOC I'll be at Classic Spring Training in Jax.
The fourth weekend in Feb I may drive down to watch Randall Boone's tournament in Savannah. I'm not sure of this date.

DoubleL10, its Feb. 20th and possibly the 21st. Last year we had 26 teams. If we get close to or that many again, will be two days. I did put out a recent message again yesterday and had two guys who wanted to get picked up and play. Next message, will add your name. I am sure there are teams that might want you. Only draw back is most teams usually want someone who is playing full time. Some team might want you for that weekend only. Will let you know if anyone does. Otherwise, I know a 50's AAA team that might be interested in you full time. email me and we'll chat about it.
#6, I remember you with Tanel and am hopeful you guys will be back. Always great to see you guys and pray the rain stays away this time. First time in 6 years it rained that weekend. This is number 7 and should be good luck. Should warm up by then. brrrr.

Greg, I love your Pasadena tournaments and hope to attend as a spectator. I regards to who else is doing something; Houston's HCSSL (HCSSL.ORG), will be holding its spring tournament on the following weekend, the last weekend in Feb (Feb 27).

Bob, Bill told me a couple of months ago that he won't be doing anything until the summer at the earliest due to family and job issues. A bunch of our guys (Howdy, Dewayne, Jim Gibbons, Ron Pelligrini and Clay Stephens) will be playing with Ox on the new 60 AAA Texas Legends team.
Jack, Thanks for the info; I'll contact John Hughes to see what's going on. LL

if anyone is looking for some good players in the 60's division three just got cut for tanel.

one is a pure lead off hitter that will bat around 800 every game.

another is and outfielder that was our best one will bat 700 plus.

and one is a good first baseman bats around 600.

anyone froming a team or needing players these guys can nd will help a team.

i know what question will follow why did they get cut. i'm still wondering that myself but thats a coaches decision. and you only have one coach to a team or you have chaos.

LP,
Don't you think this is a slap in the face to the coach of Tanel. Why don't you talk to him via e-mail or the phone and he can tell you why they were cut.You have his e-mail and phone number.
Their big boys, they can find a team to play for without your help.

In the years I have played senior softball, I can't remember any team for which I played cutting anyone. Maybe there's a shortage of players in Indy, but I don't think so.

Not a shortage of players just a lot of loyalty between coaches and players.

butch17 and lemons,
All I know is there we some differences between our coach and the 3 players.I know one couldn't play a lot because of work, and the other 2 were because of their attitudes.Has nothing to do with loyalty,it was about committment and attitude.

Hey, #6 in what way should what LP said be construed as a “slap in the face to the manager of Tanel”? All he was trying to do is alert other teams to the availability of these players. Lighten up.

pushin60,
First and foremost,he could of just said 3 guys looking to play over 60 out of Texas. No need to bring the team name into this at all.Second if he doesn't know why they were cut and wanted to know, why not do the right thing and go ask the man that cut them.
I played with all 3 and there good guys, just don't think putting the name of the team here does any good

Committment and attitude are also a big part of our game (and of loyalty). I didn't mean to sling mud or imply any unjust actions. Regards, Mel

Have 10 in the 50'55 bracket.
8 in the 60/65 bracket and have 3 for sure as of now for the 70 bracket and expect one or two more for this bracket.
If the other 2 70's come, that is it. Will be 2 days. Pushed the limit last year and hope not to do that again. I now some wait to sign up, but 22 or 23 is good.
