Trust me! You don't want to be near Ceasar Chavez Park. I'm here. $28 for a full suite and kitchen. No pool or bells and whistles. Its right cross the 17 from the Metro Center on Dunlap.

Info:
Homestead Studio Suites Phoenix - North Metro Location: 2102 W. Dunlap Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85021 Telephone: 602-944-7828

Stay away from this one. Its in a bad part of town but cheap. Ask me how I know :O)

Comfort Inn West
1344 N. 27th Ave.
Phoenix, AZ, US 85009
Phone: (602) 415-1623

Butch17, there is nothing very close to Caesar Chavez. I would recommend hotels at I-10 and Baseline Rd. In Tempe. They are nice, with lots of shopping and restaurants. Straight shot down Baseline Rd. to the fields.

I would not recommend hotels at 51st ave. and Mcdowell Rd. Or at 51st ave. south of I-10.

You guys in the know, what do you think about the Holiday Inn Phoenix West at 1500 North 51st Ave.? It's close to Desert West where we are playing.

Decent hotel, absolutely terrible area. Lock your car. For Desert West, look down at 91st. ave. and Mcdowell Rd. Courtyard by Marriott

Desert West isn't in a nice area. Go north or west to get into a better area. Anything near the Metro Center Mall will put you into a better area. Or you can stay downtown or out towards Tempe. Last year I didn't sleep the first night because I have wire wheels and the Comfort Inn west though next to the 10 is in a bad area.
