What are the best turf shoes on the market?

They are trail runner shoes but work great on turf, dirt and grass. Amazon has them.

The best turf shoe is one made by Tanel—wear like iron, including the cleats, lightweight, high-top—but sadly, no more. I noted the coming end of that company and bought a couple of extra pairs, but the day will come when I will need new turf shoes. I'm interested in responses for current shoes.

I found that for me, the ADIDAS turf shoe is awesome. My brother and another teammate with achillies issues love them as well. I believe it is a mid cut (HIGH TOP) to me. awesome on turf, sand, red clay pack coleche soil etc. all around great show. I even golf with them. Bought mine from a good guy in florida on this board!

How do the shoes run - true to size or small / large? I wear a 13 in some but was thinking 13.5 for these to get a little extra room but don't want to swim like with a 14. Thoughts - thanks for the help

true to size. I wear a 12 and bought 12.

All due respect to Hat Man, I tried these shoes and I strongly suggest ordering 1 size up (or at least 1/2 size up). They run small, and I have tried several pair. The only way to know for sure is try them on yourself - they are sold in several different retailers and in the Adidas Outlet Stores, if you live near one of them.

I agree with NYTX ... I tried on my first size choice (11) and found out I was also a ½-size under what I needed (11½) ... GREAT shoe, though, in the correct size ...

Yes, for trail runners, the soles wear out, but for us SB players, we play on grass, turf, and dirt infields. Several reviews mentioned how they kept their feet dry when the grounds were wet. For those of us still playing in St. G this afternoon (2:30) when the skies really opened up, there was at least 10+ minutes of steady rain before we were pulled off the fields. They decided not to complete them and winners were picked.

The first thing I did after grabbing my gear was check the inside of the shoes. Socks and shoes were dry with very little infield pebbles. These shoes are very comfortable and light. I'm glad I ordered a half size larger. Now to see how they feel after playing in 90+ temperatures.

Whatever the brand is, trail runners might be worth looking into. They might be pricey for some, but they may outlast two/three pair of regular SB cleats with outside materials that start cracking after a year or so.

If you are considering the Soloman's (Diesel Dan's link) take a close look at their "Lacing System.' I, personally, find it to be a pain in the neck and it can't be replaced with regular shoe laces.

Otherwise, the shoes are comfortable, lightweight, very grippy. They fit me true to size, but I have a somewhat narrow foot. Can't speak to durability because my dislike of the lacing system keeps them in the closet most of the time.

It does take a little practice to use the "button" in order to adjust the laces. The extra length of lace is just slipped under the crossed laces.

Salomon 2 year warranty keep box and receipt anything goes wrong ship em back get a new pair. Can't beat that!
