I put a post on here a while ago about this bat. I think the bat is a real good bat. I would put it up against any of the senior bats out there today. To me they are all about the same. I have been hitting mine out here in Vegas and yesterday it was 100 degrees. I hit the 52/300 balls along with some 47/375. Bat played well. Very well.

I saw Don Clatterbaugh swinging it this past weeked in Salem. He was hitting line drives into the trees with this bat.

Yeah but Clatterbaugh could hit line drives into the trees with a broomstick. And don't think you're going to shift around on him or he'll "dink" it to left and just smile at ya from first base.

To the best of my recollection, Clatta swings only Worth bats. And Beasley is correct; Clatta could turn the bat upside down and swing the barrel and still hit them out!

It's amazing to me that someone can put 125 swings on a bat - downplay the results because of wind blowing out (LOL) and brag about the GREAT exterior finish.

Let's find some bats that have the performance we want - at a price that is fair - with a longevity factor built in.

Having played againt Clatta and respecting his ballin' abilities and teamanship (word?) let's see what this bat turns out to be.

No teasers needed - seems like outright salesmanship as opposed to a frank, pratical evaluation.

We're not spinning a cash register here (or are we) - if we are going to evaluate bats let's do it without the tease...what are we selling - paint jobs on cars? Get the Diamond coat......

If I want to buy Turtle Way versus Simonize I will. If I'm interested in buying a bat let's hear/see a real report - not a billboard.

This isn't Burma-Shave - although most in Burma (Mymmar) don't need to shave either so I guess that was hype also.....

Stop with the road signs to keep you name in lights - post for real - thanks Mike for the frank low down

What is this rant actually about, car wax or bats? The guy gave an honest opinion on what he thought of the performance of the bat not trying to sell it

Tri18 is a very knowledgable source on bats. While he does sell bats he sells many manufacturers equipment and only gave an honest critique on the Legit.

Tri18 is the guy that designed and sells the Combat Ambush. He could easily be critical of all bats except for the Ambush, however he tests and gives an honest opinion on all bats.

Alan, thanks for your reports.

Yeah - sometimes I get tired of the faux commercialism on a board that is not supposed have "Advertising for commercial product, servies, or websites" followed up with a phone number in case you need anything for your game.....

It's a high wire act.....

Don't be such a stick in the mud 4x4. It's nice to hear bat reviews by seniors for seniors. I would rather purchase from someone who has hit a multitude of bats rather then just order from some Internet retailer, at least he shows a sincere interest in helping softball players reach their potential.

Being a worth guy for the past 8-10 bats I have used, this 2 piece sounds very similar to my Jeff Hall Mutant that I still have (for sale if you want it...lol)it had a .5 ounce end load and the sweet spot although very sweet, it was relatively small compared to my 454 Legit one piece that I use in U trip (yellow one from alan BTW)today.....I am sure they worked out the issue with telescoping of the bats etc but performance I believe will probably be similar with maybe a bit more pop because the sr. bats are a little thin walled to begin.....I hope worth hit a homerun with the bat but I would like to hear people who have used a Mutant side by side with the 2 piece Legit and compare notes....That would be a true test comparison

Tri18 = Honest Abe

Some of us have not reached the Grouchy Old Man Status yet, so keep doing what you do ! ! !

BTW, we were Ambushed in French Valley, CA by 30mph winds Howling in from Left-Center. AZ Elite was unable to produce 1 Homer in that game, although Nazzareno I believe hit 2 or 3, and managed to come back and beat us in the 1 Game Championship Game in 8 innings (LOL) ! ! !

Alan - Every day on the field is a good day regardless of wind in - out - or sideways and I'll take your word for the evaluation and the approach.

We're all selective about our bats and the evaluations seem to run the gamut both for and against depending on the evaluators. We really don't know until we take it out an swing indivually as each of our swings and techniques/games are different.
When I first started the post it was tongue in cheek because of the "nice finish" but then it took a turn somewhere and got too wordy.

God knows there's no virgins on this message board to protect.

Sometimes it seems like there's multiple threads going with something to sell as the underlying message. Best to you as well.

I would totally discount everything cop298 has said above. There is no name or other info on his profile and he has made only 2 posts. The other post was in April and said the same thing about a
Miken. 4 broken knobs on 4 bats????? draw your own conclusion.

I will agree with Alan that this bat is "Legit". I put about 60 swings on it and really liked it.
It is very forgiving especially for a balanced bat. And the fact that it has lasted 340 swings after some of the bombs that I have seen it hit is very good.

OK...so I have about 200 swings on my sr. worth 2 piece and it has come alive!!!!!....I would compare it to the Reebok that I have .....the ball is really jumping off the bat with line drives and fly balls...LONG fly balls...if you have the patience to work in the bat and I mean work it by lots of BP, then you will be happy....I have not seen any spider cracks or webbing or hairlines so I think it might be more durable than a lot of the sr. bats.....I guess Worth doesn't get the love of a lot of people but give it a chance.....you can get them pretty reasonable online and you can get that under the radar, sleeper bat for a great price.....now I have to decide which bat to use in the upcoming tourney....decisions decisions..reebok...worth....reebok....worth

as of this time, I would not yet put it in the category of a Reebok Melee BUT, this bat is really crushing the ball...if the Melee was an A+ then the Worth is an A-.....the ball jumps off the bat but it takes a long time and a lot of live hits at BP to break it in....once it breaks in, you will know....you have to use it on a fenced field though because some of the hits are very deceiving....a line drive turns into a 310 foot homer and you say, "That went out?"....if you are on an open field you wont get the perception of distance as well....just get one on the cheap and keep using it...give it time and you will enjoy it

I received this bat on Thursday and used it on Saturday in Cathedral City. Let me just say, I took minimum BP with it and on my 2nd at bat, I crushed a ball out of Yankee Stadium opposite field. I found this bat needed little break in time for this bat to work well. To me, this has been one of the best if not the best senior bat I've swung in quite awhile. Very balanced, but with a small end load. I dig the bat, I think Worth has a winner here. : )
