All SSUSA tournaments played in Las Vegas use The Rock ball with their logo.

Why doesn't SSUSA use the Rocks all the time. The Trump Stote used in California sucks during the heat of summer. Just standardize to the Rock.

Agree with TimMcElroy that it will be the Trump Rock at Vegas. I think the reason that it isn't used at more tournaments is that I have heard lots of complaints about it at Vegas: "so hot it is dangerous"; "makes a "tiger" out of a pussycat with the ball flying farther"; changes the complexion of teams with the extra distance (not to mention the hot, dry conditions); "makes it a Mickey Mouse tournament"; "it's exhausting chasing so many long balls in the heat"; etc. I also agree that the Trump Stote does not hold up in the heat, but there are many other balls that DO hold up in the heat that could be used (Baden Fire, for example). If I had to choose, I would pick the Stote and hope for morning time slots! It is not as much fun for my team playing softball with a tennis ball.

You may call the Sacramento Office and order them ... If your inquiry is regarding the upcoming World Masters Championships, the only "The Rock" softballs permitted must be purchased on site at the tournament ... A few years back, there was some controversy over which "flavor" of The Rock was being introduced into play ... To avoid a re-occurrence of that problem, ONLY softballs purchased on-site are permitted ... Good luck!

You can get them off of EBay for about 85.00 a dozen. I said our team would wait until we get to Vegas.

What weve been told is that all Bat vendors must be at Big League Dreams. So Suncoast Adidas will be there and at all Managers meeting.

Let us know if we can help!

Thanks,

LVSSA uses the Rock ball at the World Masters by popular request. It draws many teams to Vegas.

sorry to hear that for the bat vendors. At least for session 1 you have over 500 players going to be at desert breeze compaired to at best 180 at BLD and most players there have some bat endorcement.
Maybe you cant set up but at least send a rep

Not complaining, I will drive to vendor if needed.
180 players were an estimate of the 21 teams in major + mens minus the teams I know have bat sponsors and wont be purchasing any from vendors.
I have never had issues at worlds always seem to run well.

All National Sponsors have been invited to the 2016 World Masters Championships and attendance is expected to be excellent. There will be a "Vendor Fair" every day of the Tournament at Big League Dreams, where vendor specific merchandise, including bats, will be available. Vendors have also been invited to attend and sell at all four Manager Meetings at Boulder Station the evening before play commences.

Elite Sports and Tournament Sports (the event specific apparel vendor) will also be at many, if not all, other locations, selling only their respective product lines of merchandise. NOTE • Bat sales are restricted to Big League Dreams ONLY. Bat "representatives" or independent "dealers" are specifically prohibited from selling bats at the parks. Do NOT bring bats for sale to Las Vegas. This is a Nevada and Las Vegas permitting and taxation issue that will be aggressively enforced by Directors, Park Rangers and City and County enforcement personnel. Thank you!

So your team uses them in the league you play in. What part of the country is that. Do they play the same as the ones in Vegas or does the area your league is in play a big part of their performance. Just asking. Would like to get some for league play next year if possible.
Thanks.

Bat Vendors at BLD only, partly due to a taxation issue???? No sales tax in Nevada........wonder what kind of tax issue it could be.

curveball ... You may be thinking of the absence of a Personal Income Tax in Nevada (there is none) ... We file quarterly sales tax returns based on an 8.15% sales tax rate in Clark County ... The other part of it, which isn't technically a "tax", is the cost of permits to sell, a Nevada State Business License and a myriad of other red tape items ... Both the City of Las Vegas and Clark County assessed us for unlicensed vendors last year ... We are stepping out of the middle, especially the payment obligation, this year and will be supporting any and all enforcement actions by the authorities ... Save us an inconvenience and yourself an embarrassing economic detriment: DO NOT BRING A TRUNK FULL OF BATS TO SELL ON THE SIDE at the 2016 World Masters Championships ...

Interesting....Las Vegas and Clark County go out of their way not to miss a trick don't they? Thanks for the in depth explanation, your plan makes good sense.

To the SSUSA Staff. Just so I understand, not trying to be a nerd and ask again. So you will not be able to buy bats from a vendor while in Vegas participating in the tournament. So no one will be able to set and display their bats at all. No sales of bats. Correct? Or are you allowed to just sell at Big League Dreams. Sorry for the confusion on my part. Not well educated. Lived in the mountains like Jeremiah Johnson too long.

Hail Ragna! ... You WILL be able to buy bats at the World Masters Championships from ANY of the National Bat Manufacturer/Sponsors ... They will all be setting up their display/sales booths at the Vendor Fair at Big League Dreams ... Bat sales at other playing sites are NOT AUTHORIZED outside of BLD by anyone, specifically the (seemingly) dozens of bat "representatives" or "dealers" selling from the trunk of their car or back of their pickup truck ...

This policy is to protect the economic interests of our Sponsor Vendors at BLD and, hopefully, to eliminate the prior years' problem of sales by individuals who are unlicensed, non-permitted by the municipalities and lacking a Nevada Sales & Use Tax License and account ... At the risk of being cited and creating the possibility of adversely affecting your eligibility as a player in the tournament: DO NO BRING A TRUNK FULL OF BATS TO SELL ON THE SIDE IN LAS VEGAS ... We will be aggressively enforcing this policy and cooperating with the municipal authorities in their enforcement activities ... Thank you!

That's hilarious! ... But don't do the bank "deal" in Clark County ... You'll clog up the court system! ... Good luck!
