Boombah/Voodoo from Calgary was playing Reno Elite in the loser's bracket final of the 40M when we left. Hauck (?) was the unbeaten.

I don't know who won the AAA but the Rhinos from Oklahoma who put us in the losers bracket and Northern Idaho who beat us after Midnight on Saturday were tough teams. We lost both on walkoffs in the bottom half of the last inning. It was our first time to Vegas and we certainly enjoyed a large tournament playing new teams like the good ole days before senior ball. We'll be back.
Is there any chance to get a complete list of the champion results for each division
Or is there a link or website we can go to to get the complete results from all Divisions from this past weekends Masters Championship? Thanks
Yes ... Shortly after the tournament concludes ... Complete results will replace the DRAFT schedule links at that time ...
I would like to see a better job of keeping people interested in the tournament up to date. With today's tech. We shouldn't have to wait until a week goes by before we get scores! I know it's not ESPN, but do we have to have 2 soup cans and a string?
Railice96, I see from the number of posts you have made you are a newbie. While we do have to wait for the results sometimes I can guarantee it is not because SSUSA doesn't want to do it, there is just not the personnel or time at most tournaments.
It is much more complicated than JUST posting scores! Take session 1: 203 teams, 652 games at 12 different sites. At best there is 1 tournament director & 1 ass't director at each site, they have to compile the scores after all the games & get them to the SSUSA person who does the input. Who, by the way is a director at one of the sites. Oh, session 1 also had some rain problems thrown in as well.
FYI: session 2 has 127 teams, 490 games @ 12 sites; session 3 has 175 teams, 571 games @ 9 sites! Tournament totals: 503 teams, 1713 games @ 12 sites.
Yes, we all want the results ASAP, but making snide remarks about soup cans does not help anyone!
I was always taught that if you didn't like the way something was being done, make a suggestion as to how it can be made better!
Thanks,
Chief
Dave would I be allowed to bring a little Brooklyn attitude? Great seeing you Friday.
Ok, here's my suggestion, after each day of the tournament, have the TD at each site take a picture of the bracket, send it to Dave and he could post them on the web site while he is having his cup of coffee before he goes to bed (sorry Dave). He wouldn't have to do any calculations or transferring of the scores, just post the pictures. I still can't believe that with the biggest tournament in the world that Dave is the only person who can post the scores. Dave, get some help.
The SSUSA msg. board in old, It would be nice if they updated it to the "21st century".., so that when we share "INFO" by placing a web link, the hyperlink is there and the readers can go to it directly by clicking the link.... and with SSUSA Worlds, we'd get live tourney info’s, updates and scores....
Just curious, did Jose Canseco actually show up and play with GSC ?
Yes. He and Rev made two outs each in the tournament.
I agree with Railice and Bruce(see you Thursday Bruce), There is no reason that they can't come up with a quick system to take care of this problem. Biggest tourney of the year, everyone wants to know how they did and how the competition did. Chief...if your numbers are right...505 teams at $695 using simple math skills is $350,975.00...I'm just sayin!
Hey Dave...I understand everything costs money! You of course forgot to throw in concessions and merchandise...but...I'm sure this isn't the first time requests have been made for up to date info. I would like to break it down another way. If you are on 13 fields, one person can have a bracket, make 13 calls every hour, have a laptop, and you could have have your updated scores to keep everyone happy. I'm not sure...but you may be able to get that for free...if not...I'm sure the cost would be minimal
Seriously....do what I do, pick up the phone and call someone who is there. That is much better than just seeing the scores.
My Apologies...the tourney is well run...that's just something it seems like a lot of people ask for. No biggie! Next time I will wish for more wins
No update on who won the 50AAA?
If I really want to know the game scores of the teams I like - I do what softball4b does - CALL SOMEONE!
EVERY TOURNAMENT WE GO THROUGH THIS AGAIN! IT'S ABOUT TIME WE WAIT FOR THE RESULTS TO BE POSTED!
AND, LAZER7, I BET A 50AAA TEAM WON!
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH - QUIT BITCHING & FEEL LUCKY WE CAN STILL PLAY THIS GAME AT OUR AGE!
CHIEF OUT!
Oklahoma Rhino won the 50 AAA division.
Well said Chief!
"huff ced"
Miken/Boombah Voodoo won 40 major by double dipping Haunk? MD.. 2 great games
Bruce from AZ is "spot on" with his recommendation. I don't know the man and I would like to meet him but he seems to get it whenever he makes a post. His idea of taking pictures of the hand written brackets seems so easy and could be implemented for all tournaments tet I forced to call players and coaches I know to find out what happened. Dave I would consult with Bruce because he probably has other ideas which could help you. I don't post much but the scores not be available is unacceptable.

I feel Oklahoma Rhinos were a major team that sandbag to get play down. Just an opinion!
You guys realize only a small percentage of players ever post here. If there really was more interest, one person from each team that ended up in the top 3 in any division could be asked to post their position here, or post the top 3 when they are done. Then Dave wouldn't have to worry about trying to post one heck of a lot of games.505 teams with a 5 game minimum is 2525 games, and most teams play more than 5.
Hey Guys ... We really DO appreciate the positive suggestions ... What we do on site at a tournament is simply about priorities, as measured against the time available to accomplish as many of them as we can with the staff that's here ...
The top priority is always to provide the best tournament experience that can be had at the moment for the teams participating right here, right now ... There are over 8,100 players on the 506 team rosters, and they all have a higher priority with us during an event than satisfying the curiosity appetite of the general public that happens to stumble into this Message Board ... We WILL post the scores and detail bracket results ... Just not this week ...
We will look into the bracket board photo suggestion after this event ... Maybe posting them to our Facebook page would be a good first step ... In the meantime, we would encourage anyone who wants to brag about their team's successes to do so on this Board ... It's all good information! ... Thanks!
I think the idea for the updates on the SSUSA Facebook page is perfect. It takes very little time and will draw more people to your page. We have a Facebook site for our club and we use that to keep everyone up to date with scores as we go along during a tournement so everyone that wants to follow can do that. It doesn't take much time at all to do that. Maybe 1 minute after each game.
These guys run full speed for the month before and 12 days during the tournament, and at every field there is more problems than most of us could handle. Posting scores is at the bottom of a very long list of things to do when trying to keep a tournament running on time.
While we were in the tournament, we would continually go to the Board that was at the park and see the results. We were filling in the brackets on our personal sheet. However once we got knocked out, we did not do that process. personally I appreciate the effort by all to put this together.
Actually, I think anyone can post photos to the Senior Softball USA Facebook page but that depends how you have it set up. You could get some free labor by having anyone there at a tournment location taking a picture of a bracket and posting it on that page. May be worth testing it.
Thanks, Rustito. I don't know anybody to call that was there. I appreciate the updates from those that were.
I think the SSUSA staff did a really good job for such a large tournament, I'm not sure why it's so important to know results right away. tattooball you make a great point, I'm sure they have plenty of other things to make sure are going right other than posting scores.
The SSUSA Webmaster has deactivated the posting privileges of the anonymous poster who was causing the recent problems in this thread ... His archived posting history has also been deleted ...
I'm pretty sure that no one is calling Dave or any of the staff lazy! They do a very good job of handling that many teams, players, problems, etc. Didn't just stumble on to the board, it just so happens that we came, we played, we paid, and we lost late on Saturday night. So, next day we get back on road to go home and are curious as to the teams that were still in it and how our bracket finished up. In two weeks, we will be looking at the next tourney, not what happened last one. Other associations have figured a way to do it.

Congrats to all my friends on the Rimfire and Superior teams. It's always good to see and talk to Bill Gore and Joe 'Lefty' Falcon from Rimfire. And it was a great pleasure to see and visit with my old friend and teammate of many years Tom 'T-Bone' Malvich. And, as always , all the great players on the Hamels and Rose 65 teams. Keep in good health and we will try it again next year!
This just in from Dave Dowell - big ups to my League team buddies from Team Mayhem in OKC for finishing third! We will celebrate by having additional BP soon!
