New Combat Centenarian 10" barrel
Just got my new White Combat Centenarian and I must say it is all it has been hyped up to be. Ball was coming off of it quite well. Has above average pop for a new bat. Looking forward to seeing it loosen up some more here in the next few days.

I have one coming hope it is as good as the hype. The last bat I used with a 10 inch barrel was the Miken Edge back in 04. I didnt like it maybe this bat will work better for me , I,m told it has a 6.7 inch sweetspot.

A friend and I hit our new white combats last week and we both hope they will open up this week, I ordered a28oz and I wish I would of got a 27 because I normally swing a balanced bat. I also just got a new 27oz bal. Reebok which I will hit today and I can't wait to compare the two bats. Will update later.

Let us know how they compare, also have both and I really prefer the way the combat swings.Have one Reebok that has around 300 swings that is real good.Opened a new reebok the same time as the combat combat is better out of wrapper should be great if it keeps improving.

We both hit our new white combats again today and they did open up more, he has decided that he will use his as a bp bat and if it gets better then he will use in a game. He is crazy about the red mikens even tho he breaks one at least every 2 -3 months. I hit the combat another 60 hits today for a total of around 135 hard hits with 60 half swings to start. Today I also hit my new reebok 27oz bal. ,with 6o half swings then 60 hard hits. I must say that I prefer the reebok at this point. It maybe that I just hit better with a balanced bat,and also the combat may take longer to open up. I also think the combat will last longer because for both of us the breakin seems slow- - I guess we are not as heavy hitters like some on this board. I will update after every hitting practice. I hope I've not ruffled any feathers, but at this point I like the reebok much better.

i hit with joe and rich in s.f. a few weeks ago put about 100 swings on it and the paint was chipping but did not hit as well as the reebok. When i got home i called kevin order a 28. and got it a week later.I have 320 swings with no chipping on the white combat and it is hitting bombs and has no sign of craking.I love my reebok but the centanarian is now hitting harding and farther than the reebok.Everyone thats hits it now loves it.It needs more swings than reebok to get hot but when it does it is hard to put down just a great great bat .

I broke my black Centanarian today, it had a crack so I finished off in three swings Hit it Far.. Good hitting with you the other day.. I did hit joes bat again a few weeks later in BP at orange.. we had lousy balls and a bit wet. I started to one hop the 360 fence and Joe made me put it away.. LOL... I was about to go out with it.. He wouldn't let me.. I would say the white one opens up after 150 swings.. I will order one when I brake one on the two new rebooks I have.

I took my new White Centanarian out today for a test drive...I must say the bat not only looks nice but it swings even better then advertised.
I hit about 70 balls with it today...70 degree & sunny very nice day for hitting. I hit about 30 balls well over 320, the bat feels really good going though the zone.

Cajack also took a few swings and he likes it also!

I also have the Black Centanarian and until Mesquite I wasn't a FAN..it took about 300 to 400 swings just to break in! The White one already seem like it's broken in after only 70 swings!

I hope the white is as durable as the Black one.
...I plan on putting it in tourney action later this month in Vegas.....Stay tunned!!!
Webbie don't forget, I owe you a beer...
Thanks Alan for your good customer service!
P.S.

You should buy from who you feel comfortable with and which bat you think is best for you. i certainly would not believe there is one better than another, just different. Anyone saying that is just lieing. The one I sell I believe is the best because of the knob and way it swings, many may not agree. The feed back we have received back from the players have all been positive, with the exception of 1 bat that has some serious paint chips. That bat is being replaced as we speak.

I know exactly whats coming out, but your right I don't care.

You see in august of 2011 when we started this project no one wanted any of these bats, (retailers) Now that we have done all of the hard work, seeding and promoting the retailers all want in and they will do anything to sell a bat except the hard work. Every wants to buy the hottest bat and have their phones ring of the hook making money. It seems to me a guy with so much knowledge about the bats would have a few more post's than you do, but that is another story.

All I can say is buy the bat you feel is right for you and from whom you trust the most.

Yes on the retailer part but will not post info. This board is sponsored by a retailer already. I am also a indpendent contractor and have worked with many companies in the past and few right now.

Combat makes the best senior softball bats, thats my opinion and only mine. They will also be releasing a few new ones that have not been talked about yet.

been doing some reading and it seems as if these bats are the Pre production runs?? could be why the paint is inconsistent some are breaking at under 100 hits and some are not the proper lengths. Just a thought here, but perhaps they don't stick with it because they know they can release a new model, make some claim or another about it, and the lemmings will run out to buy a number of them in the hope of getting another 8' of distance.

Players are their own worst enemy in this regard.

Again for someone with very limited post's you sure think you have a wealth of knowledge about this. We did the numbers this morning and the problems are with less than .4% of the bats sold. 2 have already been taken care of and working on the other 2. Where is your info coming from? We have already had great LUCK with this bat to the point of expanding the sales.

Thanks.

Have one with over 200 swings no problems with paint, no chips hits as well or better than any SR I have used.4% is a small# and these are being addressed.Does not seem like a major problem to me.Another factor that I have not seen is the balls being hit with the defective bats, 525s wet balls just wont work with any SR bats.

the wealth is just simple reading on line. as I said good luck with your bat I will wait for the more main stream version. but last question when you say we did the numbers who does that mean. you never really answered if you actually work for combat. it seems a little hokey that to get one of "your" bats one has to call and have canada charge the card.never heard anything like that before now

Ok, what is your motive? You show up on this message board for the first time with this name. You have so much knowledge about this bat yet you have never swung one. You have everything bad to say about the way combat and myself released the bat with no knowledge of why we did it this way.

We have sold 100's of these bats, not 1000 yet but way north of 100, and you are the only one here questioning the bat. Well I have been around along time and 1000's of senior players know me and can vouch for me 100's and 100's of senior players can come on this board and complain about the bat that have bought. Yet you are the only one. Why????????????

My customers speak for themselves and if they are unhappy they would and will be willing to say so. So where are all of they unhappy customers?

I think you just need to focus on your job and not worry about what I am doing.

At the moment I'm a few thousand miles away and on a different continent. But - - - I'll be one of the first to vouch for tattoball - he can hit with the best of us and he takes care to be fair to those around him. I have been in his office at the time and talked about bats being evaluated either RA'd or new and upcoming or current stock and trends.

He calls it the way he sees it and has a passion and understanding for the game/sport at all levels. As a player, evaluator of products, players, levels, and testing procedures. He consults with associations, usually at their request.

Is he beyond reproach - nope - none of us are.

But he does know what he is talking about. Especially when it comes to his product line - and most others.

Go Boom....I don't think that Kevin's bat is for you. You should probably get a balanced bat. If you were to buy Kevin's bat, you would be coming back here to tell us what a terrible bat it is because you can't hit with it. With new bats, you should first ask to try out one of your friend's.
Those of us that have dealt with Kevin over the years and actually used the 10" Combat, know that what he tells us is the truth. Should he do an about face, and burn us, we will then not trust him in the future. Good luck with whichever bat you purchase.

I'll add a little history here for you guys who don't know whats going on with this thread. A few years ago when Kevin (Tattooball) was at Anaconda he came up with an idea for Bob Russell (AKA Bobby Buggs) to market a softball with the Evil Sports name. Bobby was becoming well known at the time as a bat doctor and at that time nothing was really wrong with being a bat doctor. Kevin developed the line and literally gave Bob a business. When Kevin left Anaconda he gave Bob the option of continuing on with the new company or with staying with Anaconda. Bob chose Anaconda but he was wary that his sales would decrease with the competition from Kevin's new ball, Tattoo. Bob began a campaign against Kevin on the softball fans board by making up new names on the board and posting negative unsolicited comments using a fictional moniker for softball fans posters. GOBOOM is another attempt by Bob to discredit Kevin. Bob does not live in Iowa, as GOBOOM claims, he lives in Massachusetts. Bob wants Kevins new bat to be discredited because he will be selling the second edition of the white Centurian with Anaconda.
I know all of this because I was in the same situation as Bob with regard to my ball the GURU. Kevin did the same for me as he did for Bob and when the move to Tattoo was made I chose to stay with Kevin, not Anaconda. Bob called me a few times trying to decide which was best for him, he chose to remain with Anaconda.

Gary,
Jim16 is correct on what he stated. Doctoring was around about 2 years (maybe even longer) before talk was even started about what it was doing to the game as well as the bats and any action started to happen about it.
I believe Bob ran a taxi service before he struck it rich in the Dr's business. Might still have it as well.
Evil balls are great balls though.

Go to almost any site and you can find related items\services and so fourth regarding them or it.

Scott, maybe where you guys are, but around here you have to go back quite a few years to find bat altering that was considered acceptable. Probably back pre-composites when guys were trying tennis balls inside the barrel or were extending the lengths beyond 34".

Gary,
Was supposed to be 12 not 2. About when ASA started the bat bans. Actually, do a search in your area Cleveland and its there. NY has a ton and where I am and Jim is, it is also found now. Coast to coast corner to corner. Widespread, honestly.
The main softball boards its found but they also use code words as well.
I remember seeing a few bats that broke that had tennis balls in them. Also sat a bat extended to 35-36" once. (Somewhere in between)
Those were all alloy bats.
I had 3 Titanium bats but they were nothing compared to a composite. Dented one sold one traded other 2 for a new laptop I still use,

TatTooball, Joe told me you sent him the combat which you are replacing because of the paint.. that's all I need to know about your integrity! As far as the Bat, it's opening up well and looks to be promising. We will see how the durability game goes.

A few years ago Anaconda sold a Combat Senior Softball Bat with a 10" Barrel ( I think it was a white bat with a redish design). A friend of mine gave the bat to a friend who was about to bat. He hit the 2nd pitch over the fence. He had never had that bat in his hands before. It is a true story. I think there was only one or two of those Combat 10" barrel bats in the Venus, FL area. I heard Anaconda stopped carrying it about 1 1/2 years ago. What is the difference between the old and new Combat 10" Barrel?

Grunt,
The only short barreled combat I remeber was the red one,it was a great bat.To me the white seems a little different in its balance point but not much also been a few yrs since I used the red so dont put much stock in it.
